We thought it time you meet the local, organic milk behind our coffees and one of the businesses that keep Gwin y Môr running!

Llaeth Teulu Jenkins Milk milk and pasteurise every morning at their on-farm micro-dairy near Tal-y-bont (about 7 miles from Aberystwyth). The milk is delivered fresh every morning meaning it’s hours old when it reaches us here!

The milk is gently pasteurised in batches for a more traditional process. They have done this for the last 25 years and 6 generations, with the 7th already getting involved!

The milk is also non-homogenised, meaning it is left in a more natural state which is what leaves the gorgeous cream top and why our coffees are so perfectly smooth and naturally sweet.

Jenkins is also minimal on waste! Our milk arrives in glass bottles which are then cleaned and sterilised so they can be used again and again!

We are incredibly grateful to work with the farm and use their milk. If you haven’t tried it yet you definitely should!

Can’t wait to see you!

NEW GUEST ALERT ☕️

“Maliba” from Uganda is the next in the hopper.
It’s a beautiful multi-varietal, natural processed bean. A well balanced, full bodied medium roast with a deep sweetness, medium acidity, and clean citrusy finish.

Key tasting notes: mango, vanilla sponge, lemon zest

Really good for people just getting into guest roasts or new to the more funky, tropical flavours.
Amazingly versatile, which can be enjoyed short, black or even with milk to unlock the sweeter sponge cake flavours.

Hope you all love it 🤍

MAN MEETS MOUNTAIN (2025) is a rich and plummy Malbec with aromas of blueberry and red cherry. This w**e reveals a delicate complexity due to some aging with old French oak and velvety tannins. “Great things are done when men and mountains meet”

KNAPPSTEIN CABERNET SAUVIGNON (2022). This Cab Sauv from Southern Australia has aromas of juicy blackcurrants, dark chocolate, and mint. Elegantly structured and full bodied, it has classic flavours of chocolate and bay leaf, with notes of blackberries and fresh thyme on the finish

LE GRAND ROSSIGNOL LES CRUS (2018) is a powerful and elegant Bordeaux, 100% Merlot, and oak aged for 16 months. Toasty notes of ripe blackcurrants plums and cherries, with a long smooth finish

LA CHAPELLE DE MARIN (2025) a classic southern Rhône red. Ripe, juicy, and characterful with smooth supple tannins. It has aromas of bramble fruits and a subtle peppery spice note which gives it a lovely warm finish

O ROUGE SAINT CELS (2022). This medium-bodied French Red is a blend of Merlot and Syrah. It’s an easy-drinking w**e with luscious wild berries on the most and velvety spicy liquorice notes

AMS TRAM GRAM - LE ROI CINSAULT (2024) is a fruity, soft red with notes of fresh raspberry, apricot, and mango. It has discreet tannins and superb mineral notes

New w**e time! We've got some tasty new bottles to try out! 🍷

For the reds we've got:

Comoloco a lighter Spanish red with notes of bramble, black cherry and very minimal tannin. Works wonderfully chilled in an ice bucket. 🍒

Montes Alpha is a Carménère from Chile, a grape variety that was once thought extinct and is originally from Bordeaux but was rediscovered in Chile and has now become a sort of national speciality. Full bodied and with silky smooth tannins. Really rich and ripe blackberries with a hint of spice on the end.

La Bohème is a blend of Gamay and Syrah from Australia, where Syrah is usually known as Shiraz. But the w**emakers have chosen are more French style of w**emaking, meaning it's a bit more delicate and restrained as opposed to a full bodied in your face Shiraz. Gamay is a grape most people would know from Beaujolais and is normally used to make w**e in a young and fruity style with low tannin. The resulting is a medium bodied w**e with a berry, violet and graphite notes.

Walt Pinot Noir is from Germany, so compared to our previous Californian one it's a bit lighter and a tad more acidic due to the cooler climate. It's got aromas of sour cherry and cranberry with a hint of dried herbs. 🌿

Keep swiping for the rest ------>

In the sparkling section we're feeling pink 💕🌸

We have a new pink Pet Nat(natural sparkling w**e) from Ancre Hills in Monmouth. Similarly to our previous pet nat it's quite sour which is pretty common for the style and has aromas of quince, white peach and rose petals.

For all the sweet w**e lovers we have a sparkling pink Moscato from Emeri. Fully of strawberry and raspberry. It's got a great amount of sweetness for a hot day like today! 🍓

Keep swiping for the orange ---->

Last but certainly not least we've got the Pomone orange w**e from Ams Tram Gram. This orange has an almost cidery scrumpy-ness to it and aromas of lemon, apricot and kiwi. 🥝

Which of these are you most excited to try? Or have you tried one already? 🍷

I know we said that meet the staffs were done, but it didn't feel right without our mascot Bella!! 🐶

You'll likely know her from lounging outside Bottle & Barrel and now Gwin Y Môr. She loves to sunbathe and splash around in water. Her favourite quests are those who pet her and those who bring snacks. If you do both she'll be your best friend forever. 🐕

She makes sure to greet guests with a tail wag and a happy face! Bella is sure to cheer up every gloomy morning and rainy afternoon. We couldn't really ask for a better bar dog. ☀️

Next up is Bizzy!

She grew up in Aber and has a real love for the community and nature here. She loves supporting local businesses particularly ones that are foody, arty and have good drinks on the menu. 🎨

Although Bizzy is a textiles girly and fairly new to the barista role, she's learning quickly and is excited to keep going!

"I love a flat white or a dirty chai or if I’m having a night in with friends a bottle of red never goes a miss."
The w**e world is also a new avenue for her but Bizzy is ready to get stuck in and learn to give our customers the best possible experience! ❤️

This wraps up our meet the staff series. We hope you enjoyed getting to know all of our fabulous staff and feel more comfortable dropping in for a drink or two! ☕️💕🍷

Next up is Jamie! He moved to Aberystwyth from Norfolk last year to study at Aber Uni. 👨‍🎓

"Over the last 10 years I have been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people who instilled in me a passion for good w**e." Jamie says that his favourite part of working in this industry is talking with those who are also passionate about w**e, especially when they share their own knowledge with him. 🍷
