Our story

The story of Il Salvatore Restaurant started when one man named Salvatore Iovine moved to London in 1982 from a town called Mondragone situated in the middle of Italy, near Naples. In 1994 the first restaurant opened in Orford road, London E17. Il Salvatore restaurant became very successful and an important presence with a total of 3 restaurants in London. in november 2011 he's grandso

๐ŸŽ‰ Today is a very special day at Il Salvatoreโ€ฆ our Anthony turns 18! โค๏ธ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽบ

Many of you will know Anthony as the smiling face behind the bar, making your cocktails, or as the one who suddenly appears with his trumpet to celebrate your birthdays. No matter how many drink orders heโ€™s in the middle of, heโ€™ll always put everything down, grab his trumpet, and make sure your special moment is one youโ€™ll never forget.

But what many people donโ€™t see is the young man behind the scenes.

At just 18, heโ€™s taken on so much responsibility for this restaurant. He works tirelessly, cares deeply about our customers, and treats this place as if it were his own. His work ethic, loyalty and dedication are something most people donโ€™t expect from someone his age.

As his parents, watching him become the young man he is today fills me with so much pride. Heโ€™s kind, respectful, hardworking and always willing to help wherever heโ€™s needed. Every day he makes me proudโ€”not just because of how hard he works, but because of the person heโ€™s become.

Anthony, thank you for everything you do for Il Salvatore and for always giving our customers a reason to smile.

We love creating exciting dishes and sharing them with you on our social media. Everything you see is genuinely made and served here at Il Salvatore.

However, weโ€™d like to clarify that not every dish we post is part of our permanent menu. Many of our posts feature daily specials, seasonal creations, or limited-time dishes that are only available while ingredients last.

We completely understand that some of you travel long distances to visit us because youโ€™ve seen something on Instagram or Facebook, and weโ€™re incredibly grateful for that support. โค๏ธ

If youโ€™re travelling specifically for one of our viral dishesโ€”whether itโ€™s our Garlic Butter Pizza Bowl, Seafood Boat, Flaming Skewers,or a specific cocktail or any other specialโ€”we kindly recommend sending us a message or giving us a quick call beforehand to check availability.

As a busy restaurant, itโ€™s simply impossible to have every special weโ€™ve ever posted available every day. We would hate for anyone to make a journey expecting a particular dish, only to find it isnโ€™t being served that day.
