Based in Belfast, we take immense pride in crafting the highest quality Bao Bun. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our meticulous and precise practices carried out by our skilled and dedicated Bao Artists, or as we fondly call them, 'baoists'. From the moment the dough is mixed until the final step of steaming, our baoists display a level of precision that is both an art and a science.

The dough cannot rest for too long or come into excessive contact with the warmth of a palm during shaping to prevent over-proving. This careful attention to detail ensures that each Bao bun we create is nothing short of a masterpiece. Our freshly steamed Bao's boast a cushiony and fluffy texture, providing the perfect base to be generously filled with a variety of offerings such as Teriyaki Beef, Hacked Chicken, Char Siu Pork, Hoisin Duck, Popcorn Cauliflower or Tofu. Each Bao is then topped with one of our unique Combo Flavours & Garnishes designed to awaken all your taste buds.

Normally, this street would be packed with commuters making their way home, students leaving campus, restaurants preparing for the dinner rush, and people from all walks of life sharing the same space.

Today, it was almost empty.

The hospitality industry is already on its knees. The last thing local businesses need is to be forced to shut their doors because staff and customers don’t feel safe travelling to work, dining out, or getting home afterwards.

Every lost service, every quiet evening and every unexpected closure has a real impact on the people behind these businesses.

More importantly, no member of staff should ever have to choose between their safety and their job.

We love Belfast. We love the diverse, welcoming community that has supported us through the years, and we know the vast majority of people in this city share those values too.

Once again, we’re having to close earlier than planned to prioritise the safety of our staff and customers.
