Some exciting bakes left the kitchen this month... including a gorgeous vintage classic Wedding cake that I can't wait to share more about 💒🥹

If we haven't met before, I'm Romina (Ro) - founder, cake artist, and designer-maker behind my boutique home-based cakery in Shortstown, Bedford.

A little sprinkle of fairy princess magic 🧚🏻‍♀️🌷🦋🍄..for our precious little niece 🩷

Featuring an enchanting toadstool mushroom house cake, lovingly decorated with delicate buttercream roses, whimsical fairy toppers, fluttering butterflies, and finished with a few silky ganache layers... joined by a little butterfly cake to add to the cute collection 🦋

Each section held its own flavour - classic vanilla and raspberry, rich chocolate, and indulgent pistacchio.

This was such a pleasure to create and bring to life 🫶 My favourite part was creating the mushroom rooftop where I could get a little more expressive with texture 🍄

There's something truly special in creating kiddies cakes... my inner child gets so excited 🤭✨️

A little throwback to this sunny design, featuring hand-painted buttercream lemons, delicate little daisies, fresh blooms, lemon slices, pearls, and the sweetest angel cherub candle to bring a special lady's Sicilian heritage charm to life on her birthday 🤍 Yasmin Rosolino

Bringing my background as an artist is one of my favourite parts. Every brushstroke is painted by hand with love, helping you celebrate life's most special moments, one edible art slice at a time.

Cute things really do come in little packages ❤️🖤

This little beauty in ruby red and off-white vintage piping, was finished with delicate black bows, and packaged in the prettiest clear box - because who doesn't love a beautiful first impression?

Inside was a rich red velvet sponge with silky cream cheese filling and, if I remember rightly, Holly Nixon | Social Strategist & Content Creator said it was "the best red velvet she'd ever had!" 😘❤️ The feedback any baker loves to hear 🫶

Red velvet is definitely one of my loyal customers' go-to flavours, and I can see why it's a close No°1 with Victoria sponge... The classics are now in competition... Who's going to win the race in 2026? Only you can decide 😂

As always, every border, shell and little piped detail is thoughtfully crafted, transforming elegance and sophistication into edible art that's almost too pretty to eat... almost...

A throwback to a Berry first birthday 🍓✨️

A vintage-inspired buttercream design with imprinted strawberry details, and hand-painted daisies - the sweetest berry theme for the cutest little girl (my little niece Hallie).

I can't believe she turns 2 soon! She recently copied me with the cutest little sass saying, "thank you darlin'". It absolutely melted me ❤️😂 Steph Carr

I really LOVE creating children's birthday cakes that feel just as beautiful as they are fun! ✨️

Kids' cakes don't have to be the typical supermarket-style designs or simple drip cakes with toppers...

They can be elegant, modern, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed while still feeling playful and age-appropriate. I love creating celebration cakes that little ones adore and that the grown-ups can't stop talking about too! 📸

🩷 July & August - Availability Update 🩷

I'm now FULLY BOOKED for the beginning of July, and will be **closed Thursday & Friday this week** for a family event, followed by preparations for my Cake & Sip event 🍋 and pre-order collections!

I still have LIMITED AVAILABILITY for mid to late July, but these spaces won't last long, so please send your enquiry as soon as possible.

🗓 **August is already filling up quickly**, especially with wedding cake enquiries coming in.

With summer holidays and looking after our little one too, my diary is becoming more limited, so I'd always recommend enquiring as early as possible to give plenty of time for me to design and quote your beautiful bake.

I'm also still hoping to organise some children's decorating workshops in a cool, air-conditioned venue - I'll keep you posted as soon as I have more news! 🧁🧒
