⚫️ The Annoucement I never wanted to make ⚫️
It’s with a very heavy heart and many weeks of tears, that we have to announce the devastating closing of our beloved VCB.
We have tried our very best and have put everything we have into trying to navigate and survive the ongoing cost of living crisis. However, as many other business owners are experiencing at the moment, with the increasing costs of utilities, ingredients, rates and so on, matched with a decrease in footfall on the High Street, we’ve got to the point where we can no longer fight it and have to accept defeat.
I am committed to honouring the cakes that we have booked in and won’t see anyone go through the panic and distress of trying to find another cake vendor because of this situation. Please rest assured, you will have your cake regardless of any personal financial losses to myself.
I have sent a message to all our bookings, so if you have a cake booked and haven’t received a message, please get in touch via the email address.
Our beautiful shop, that truly means the world to my little family, will now be closed. I will be working on your cakes from home, as I always did prior to having the shop.

I can hand on heart say that this has been the most stressful and heartbreaking time of my/our lives and I’m just devastated that we can’t continue to see our fabulous regulars and customers on a daily basis.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for choosing VCB for your brunch, cake and coffee fix over the last 3 years … you’ve played a huge part in our family’s lives and we will miss you greatly 💔🫶
