Esler's Cafe “We are a family-run cafe located in the Fairhill Shopping Centre, serving delicious, hearty food.

Restaurant Sorrento, is a self-service family restaurant in the Fairhill shopping Centre, Ballymena. Although there are a number of great places to eat in the Fairhill Shopping Centre, Ballymena Restaurant Sorrento has proved to be the favourite with shoppers and visitors from across the Province and further afield. The hot, tasty, homemade food and fast friendly service in this family restaurant

sets it apart. The wide ranging menu which offers everything from cooked breakfasts, traditional main meals, bakes, quiche, curry’s, homemade soups and salads, sandwiches made to order, various daily specials and a kids menu ensures there is something for everyone. This very friendly, family orientated 90-seater restaurant is exceptionally child friendly with room for prams, high chairs provided, and a flexible menu for very young children. In fact Restaurant Sorrento recognises the importance of its younger customers with cartoons and colour ins. Restaurant Sorrento also looks after its ‘older’ customers with a special Senior citizens discount on Wednesdays. What a fantastic day it has been at Esler’s Cafe!

We just want to say a huge thank you to every single customer who came through our doors and made our first Saturday as Esler’s Cafe such a busy and memorable one. Seeing so many familiar faces alongside lots of new customers was incredible and means so much to our family and team.

It’s never easy starting a new chapter, but the support we’ve received from the local community has been overwhelming. Every breakfast ordered, every coffee poured, and every kind word shared helps support a local family business, and for that we are truly grateful.

It was also brilliant to see Fairhill Shopping Centre buzzing with people today. A busy town centre is good for everyone, and it was great to see so many shoppers out supporting local businesses across the centre.

From all of us at Esler’s Cafe, thank you for your patience, your support, and for helping make our first Saturday such a success. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!

🎨🔨 Preparations are well underway at Eslers Cafe!

Who knew 90% of decorating was just sanding things you only painted a few years ago? 😅

After years of serving breakfasts, lunches, carveries and countless cups of tea, the walls have seen better days. So we’re giving everything a freshen up before we officially reopen as Eslers Cafe!

Dust everywhere, aching arms, and we’re pretty sure we’ve inhaled enough sanding dust to become part of the wall ourselves… but it’ll all be worth it! 😂

A few more days of hard work and we’ll be ready to welcome everyone back.

❤️ A Farewell to Sorrento… and Hello to a New Chapter ❤️

As another incredible Sunday comes to an end, we want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for making it another sold-out day. Your support means more than words can ever express.

This week marks the end of an era. For almost three decades, Sorrento has been more than just a restaurant. It has been a place where friendships were formed, birthdays celebrated, families gathered, first dates happened, anniversaries were shared, and countless memories were made.

For many of you, Sorrento has been part of your lives for years. For us, it has been a privilege to be part of those moments.

As we close the door on the Sorrento name, we do so with immense pride, gratitude, and appreciation for everyone who has walked through our doors over the years. To our loyal customers, dedicated staff past and present, suppliers, friends, and family—thank you for helping make Sorrento what it became.

While it’s goodbye to one chapter, it’s not goodbye to us.

On Wednesday, we begin an exciting new journey as Esler’s Cafe. We will be bringing the same warm welcome, familiar faces, homemade food, and community spirit that you’ve always known, while creating something new for the future.

Thank you for standing by us through the good times, the challenging times, and everything in between. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to the memories we’ve made, and to the many more still to come.
