Enjoy a festive feast like no other as The Vicar of Dibley welcomes you to Dibley for an evening of Christmas cheer, village gossip and glorious comedy. Join us for a fully immersive dining experience packed with turkey, trimmings and enough village mayhem to keep even the most respectable parishioner entertained.

Actors will bring the beloved characters to life while you tuck into a delicious three‑course Christmas meal, preselected from dishes like our traditional Christmas dinner with Roast Turkey Breast, Rolled Beef Shin or the Roasted Celeriac, Beetroot & Pearl Barley Wellington. You can also pick from festive fishcakes, burgers and tarts, starters such as Prawn & Smoked Salmon Mousse or Miso Pork Belly, and desserts including Christmas Pudding, Coffee Basque Cheesecake or Chocolate Torte.

December 9th at The Dinton Hermit, Ford
December 10th at The Black Boy, Oving

Pre-booking is required with tickets costing £75 per person. This includes your 3 course meal, hot drink and mince pie flapjack to finish and your evening’s comedy entertainment. A must for all fans of this classic British sitcom - book your tickets via our websites.

The countdown to Christmas has begun, and our festive menu is packed with everything you need for a brilliant celebration.

From November 23rd, you can enjoy traditional Christmas dinners with all the sides, choosing between Roast Turkey Breast, Rolled Beef Shin or our vegetarian (vegan option available too) Roasted Celeriac, Beetroot & Pearl Barley Wellington. If you’d prefer something different, we’ve got festive fishcakes, burgers and tarts, plus starters like Prawn & Smoked Salmon Mousse and Miso Pork Belly. Desserts range from classic Christmas Pudding to Coffee Basque Cheesecake and Chocolate Torte.

Moogies : Pubs have kindly made us their Nominated Charity moving forwards. To support Heart of Bucks, they have pledged a ‘dish donation’ by donating 50p for each Fish & Chips meal ordered from their restaurant menus.

They also generously fundraise for us through their monthly quiz nights at their two pubs, The Dinton Hermit in Ford and The Black Boy in Oving. This is all part of their Being Mindful pledge where they support a range of community and sustainability-driven goals, from reducing waste and recycling to supporting local charities such as ourselves.

This September at The Dinton Hermit we’re hosting a special W**e Tasting & Paired Dinner event with Goedhuis Waddesdon, one of the UK’s leading fine‑wine houses.

Following Ch*****ne on arrival, you’ll taste six rare and unique wines, including bottles not yet released in the UK, followed by a four‑course dinner paired with Rothschild and Aussières wines. All wines are available for purchase on the night and for some, it will be the first opportunity to try and buy them.

The evening takes place on Thursday 17th September, with arrival from 18:30 and seating at 19:00. Spaces are limited and with such premium wines available, book soon via The Dinton Hermit website to secure your place.

The Dinton Hermit offers something a little special for those looking to enjoy refined, creative food in a beautiful countryside setting.

Our Signature A La Carte menu combines fine‑dining with hearty pub food, giving guests the chance to explore dishes that are thoughtful, seasonal and full of character. Available Thursday to Saturday from 12:00, it’s the perfect choice when you want a meal that feels elevated without losing the warmth and charm of the pub.

Featured here are three standout dishes: the Mackerel & Orange Pâté, the Goat’s Cheese Croquettes, and the Pork Loin which is served with the most delicious apple and blue cheese tart and Dauphinoise potatoes.

If you’re looking for something a little different, our Signature menu is well worth discovering.
