This September at The Dinton Hermit we’re hosting a special Wine Tasting & Paired Dinner event with Goedhuis Waddesdon, one of the UK’s leading fine‑wine houses.

Following Champagne on arrival, you’ll taste six rare and unique wines, including bottles not yet released in the UK, followed by a four‑course dinner paired with Rothschild and Aussières wines. All wines are available for purchase on the night and for some, it will be the first opportunity to try and buy them.

The evening takes place on Thursday 17th September, with arrival from 18:30 and seating at 19:00. Spaces are limited and with such premium wines available, book soon via The Dinton Hermit website to secure your place.

Did you know that The Dinton Hermit in Ford, serves breakfast and brunch Tuesday to Friday from 07:00-11:00 and weekends from 08:00-11:00?

From traditional full English breakfasts to a range of premium bagels, from next level avocado on toast to breakfast burritos. There’s something for everyone. If you’re out early or fancy a relaxed morning meal, it’s the perfect countryside spot to start your day.

The Dinton Hermit offers something a little special for those looking to enjoy refined, creative food in a beautiful countryside setting.

Our Signature A La Carte menu combines fine‑dining with hearty pub food, giving guests the chance to explore dishes that are thoughtful, seasonal and full of character. Available Thursday to Saturday from 12:00, it’s the perfect choice when you want a meal that feels elevated without losing the warmth and charm of the pub.

Featured here are three standout dishes: the Mackerel & Orange Pâté, the Goat’s Cheese Croquettes, and the Pork Loin which is served with the most delicious apple and blue cheese tart and Dauphinoise potatoes.

If you’re looking for something a little different, our Signature menu is well worth discovering.

At both our venues, we try everything to be as sustainable as possible whilst providing our customers with quality. For example, we grow a range of fruits, vegetables and herbs on-site, giving our chefs access to fresh ingredients they can use across the menu wherever possible.

It’s all part of our Moogies Being Mindful commitment to sustainability, helping us
bring the freshest flavours from plant to plate.

From vibrant herbs to seasonal vegetables, the garden plays a small but meaningful role in the dishes we create, adding character, freshness and a sense of place to the food we serve.

Our Laundry Has Room For More!

When we refurbished the bedrooms at The Dinton Hermit, we made a conscious choice to convert one bedroom into our very own in-house laundry.

This lets us:
🌱 Use gentle, eco-friendly products
🌱 Cut transport miles – no vans collecting or delivering linens
🌱 Care for our bedlinen properly, extending its life
🌱 Stay true to our Being Mindful commitment to sustainability

We also switched from paper to linen napkins at both The Dinton Hermit and our sister pub, The Black Boy, to reduce paper waste.

💧 And here’s the exciting part — we have spare capacity and are keen to offer our laundry service to other local, small businesses who share our values.

There’s something unbeatable about a proper Sunday lunch and ours are worth getting excited for. Crisp and fluffy roast potatoes, market vegetables, roasted celeriac, braised red cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and pan-rich gravy, all served with your choice of beautifully cooked meats.

Choose from Roast Beef Topside, Shoulder of Pork with onion stuffing, Shoulder of Lamb, or go all-in with the Roast Trio. We also serve a delicious vegetarian alternative roast which is updated every few weeks.
