Safari & Stag is hitting the road this month, bringing the authentic taste of South Africa to Argyll! 🇿🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Whether you're craving a sizzling boerewors roll, a juicy burger, or one of our homemade South African treats, we've got you covered.

🔥 2 August – Melfort Village Braai (5pm–7pm-ish)
🍺 The bar will be open too, making it the perfect Saturday evening!

🚜 8 August – Mid Argyll Agricultural Show (from 10am)
🌭 Expect plenty of South African favourites, burgers, boerewors rolls (Saffa dogs) and more!

🎉 15 August – Ardishaig Gala Day (to be confirmed)

☀️ 16 August – Kilmeford Summer Festival (11am–4pm)

Thanks to all who came out and supported us yesterday at the Melfort Village! We had good fun!

We will return to Melfort Village this Sunday from 17h00 to 19h00'ish again.

The rain 🌧 does not deter a Saffa to braai! The weatherman says it will lift this afternoon!

Come on out and share a relaxed Sunday with us under the gazebo.

The bar will be open as well! :)

We had a little Arran adventure yesterday and tried to find some good street food.

As we don't know Arran well, we depended on Google and found great reviews for The Shack + Grill Isle Of Arran.

We didn't realise that they move locations, and worried when we got to location 1 with no food trailer to be seen. BUT ALAS! We were not giving up! We kept searching, realised via social media that they move about and, with some serious private investigation (it wasn't that difficult 😀), I found their number and they quickly confirmed where to find them.

Folks....it was worth it. We had cheese burgers (hubby had a dbl burger) and we shared a box of chilli salt fries with a jalapeño dip. It was well presented, tasty, juicy and great value as well!

Give them a try next time you're on Arran! Well worth it!

We took a break from cooking and baking and had a little adventure on the Waverley today.

We had a very tired little boy at the end of the cruise.

We will be at the Inveraray Pier Market this Saturday and we will try out our hot boerewors rolls and fries!

Also new on the table will be a biltong and feta quiche!
