We are also hosting our first ever KNEADED PINT PRESENTS - a chance to listen to speakers from all walks of life, in our own pub.
This month's speaker is Dr Jack Wright - local space scientist. Join us for ANYONE FOR A MEASURE OF MERCURY on Monday 28th September.🌌🚀

Our first ever KNEADED PINT PRESENTS:
Anyone for a Measure of Mercury🚀

Join us as we host Dr Jack Wright, for an evening of space, planets and science.
Tickets cost £5 and are available to pre-book at the bar or by dropping is a message.

This is our first of these events and we hope to do many more!💪

Dr Jack Wright is a planetary geologist and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Leicester, specialising in the geology and evolution of Mercury. His research uses remote-sensing data to investigate volcanism, tectonics, impact processes, mass wasting and volatile-driven surface features. He completed his PhD at The Open University, where he mapped Mercury’s Hokusai quadrangle and studied evidence for volcanic activity. Jack is associated with ESA–JAXA’s BepiColombo mission, including the SIMBIO-SYS and MIXS instrument teams. His work is helping prepare the planetary science community for BepiColombo’s first orbital science observations of Mercury, expected from 2027 and future exploration.
