Bal’s 60th Birthday 🎉🥳🎂🎈🎈

Last weekend we had the pleasure of helping .j.bahia Rian Simmy Bahia celebrate their main man’s 60th birthday! Never have I seen such a family love so hard - it is such a pleasure to see ❤️❤️

We started off with a magnificent charcuterie board created by the wonderful Sheena Fatania Santana who made it looks so colourful & fun!

Welcome drinks ran by my awesome bar team Sparky Clarky . The sun was out & magically the Aperols & Pimms show up!

We then of course went on to the major feast - the gastronomical BBQ - sliders galore! Chops! Salads - you name it! I think the Indian spiced cod sliders were a winner by a mile!

Always a sweet ending - salted caramel ice cream cones floating around being served 🍦

What an amazing way to celebrate a major mile stone & with the best people!

The last thing any host wants is less food - it’s got to be plentiful but not wasteful let’s be clear. Our portions are the bomb diggagy & you wouldn’t be disappointed!

Big things were happening for a 30th birthday party in Chalfont St Giles 🍾🎉🥂🔥

We did the ultimate Indian BBQ with some Kenyan favourites & street foods for our clients special celebration.

It was a vibe 😎😎

✅ flavours were on point
✅ presentation was too much fun 👌👌👌👌👌
✅ energy was electric⚡️⚡️

I always say, you get what you pay for & you can’t compare apples and oranges 🍊🍊🍊🍏🍏🍏🍎🍎🍎

Generations of cooking, recipes, tradition’s, techniques & hosting unexpected guests have all helped where Menu 11 is today.

My mum is a HUGE part of Menu 11 because yes you know you need to run a business but the heart is the food ❤️. She was the lady who helped me kick start this business off with every Friday and Saturday night supper club helping me make naan’s as I had never made them before!!

Mum taught me so much to help launch me into this industry, she is sometimes like a celebrity showing up at events, getting in on the action. She loves a chat!

The food you eat is literally from our table to yours - it has fed so many guests who have always finished their plates & come back for more. They were the humble Menu 31 at Preston Road. Today she said to me how proud she is of me.

That’s all I need. Thanks for being my mentor, my support, my cheerleader & my centre. Love you x

My last year in my 30’s ☀️🍸❤️🍾

The thirties have been a ride let me tell you. Celebrating the last year of it was indeed a reel of the past. We got up to loads and lived it to the fullest!

This weekend though I wish it never ended!
1. Drinks & dinner in Covent Garden. Waited ages to visit & I loved every bite.
2. Coffees in the garden with the doggies felt like we were abroad
3. A fine BBQ spread out on by my nearest and . It was a Pimms and Prosecco night for sure!
4. My birthday was divine - cocktails, sunshine, fabulous meal as per usual by the in Marlow.
5. A day of thrills and frolicking - hot but soooo worth it!
6. A chilled wind down with lunch & as I am writing this, a movie in the garden with Dils & an espresso martini!

What an amazing time has been had.

Now back on it with work - heading into Chalfont again this weekend 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽☀️🍾

Indian outdoor bbq food at its best!!! But that’s not just it is it??

I really struggled to find a caterer who met my requirements to an event.

• I wanted the food to be on point, no compromises - especially in the quality!
• I also wanted the presentation to be eye catching - having pride in how it looks is equally important! Otherwise why don’t we all just eat out of a brown paper bag!
• Lastly, I didn’t wanted it to flow well - not be chaotic or stressful. The team should know what they are doing and not just there serving you with a face like a slapped arse!

Cooking outdoors in the summer is beautiful - eating al fresco is even better but it has to be done right!!!

That’s why I guess we do how we do because I actually care! My team care! And I am so blessed that this is our success.

As we enter into a mad season, we only have a handful of dates left but I cannot wait to make it all count for you all! My team certainly do too xx

Turning 39 on Monday 🥺 feeling mixed about this one!

What I am looking forward to is making memories within this lap around the sun! I love my people, my supporters, my lifers. What more can you ask for! Here is to the beginning of an epic 4 days!

New followers here hooray and welcome! thought you may want to have a bit of an intro on who the heck you are following!

I’m Gem - the very proud owner of Menu 11 🍽️ my 3rd baby!👦🐶📈

Love my bubble of a team who are like family - it truly feels like we have each others back! So important to feel when you came from a work place culture of women stepping on women 😒

So a little bit about me!

• I am 39 in May - scared to hit that big 40! 🎂

• I hardly look like this photo! I am always running around like a headless chicken!

• Boy mum to a soon to be 10 year old Dilan - the most happiest & gorgeous boy ❤️ & Milo our crazy Sh*tzu

• Going through a divorce after 17 years of marriage - it won’t break me 💪🏽 life is good 💫

• Lived in North London most of my life then moved to Bucks where we have been for the last 6 years 🏠

• Worked in the retail industry up until Covid hit then decided to pull out the net from underneath me & go ahead & set up my own Catering & Events company 💪🏽

• Have lots of insecurities and comparison complexes but so grateful for my support network - you all know who you are 🙏🏽 still having a break down every now and then but we come out stronger 😂😂

• Wear my heart on my sleeve - believe in being kind until you are not - believes that this life is truly here to be lived to the fullest ✨

Zora’s 1st birthday party 🧸💙

Everything Ralph Lauren themed for the gorgeous boy Zora! Perfectly executed by who did some excellent work on putting Bal’s vision together.

What else do you need for a kids party? A BBQ & pizza!!
