A table set, the fire lit, and a bottle worth celebrating. 🔥

We were pretty chuffed to be part of the launch of Round Hill Harvest at The Cotswolds Distillery bringing our wood-fired cooking and intimate dining experience to an evening inspired by the place we’re lucky enough to call home.

Our chef, Jemima symons - the private chef created a menu inspired by the Cotswolds, bringing together seasonal local produce, honey from the Distillery’s very own bees and their wh**ky, all cooked over fire and woven through the dishes.

There’s something rather special about intimate dining, bringing people together around a table, cooking over fire and creating food that tells the story of where you are.

A brilliant evening celebrating Round Hill Harvest, good food, great wh**ky and the landscape that inspired it all.

Thanks for having us, The Cotswolds Distillery. 🥃🔥

Fancy joining us around the fire? Get in touch to book your own Wild Oven intimate dining experience, we’d love to cook for you.

Something new is cooking…🔥

We’re busy behind the scenes, testing, tweaking and tasting our way through the new Wild Oven menu for 2027.

Expect new dishes, bigger flavours and plenty of the fire that makes us well..us

We’re not quite ready to give all away, but think seasonal dips, first from the fire to start, slow cooked meats, house-made sauces, plenty of pickling and some very good new puddings.

Already booked with us for 2027? You’ll be amongst the fire the first to get a taste of what’s coming 👀

The new Wild Oven menu.
Full reveal coming this autumn.

10 YEARS OF ZOË 🔥

If you’ve shared our food over the last 10 years, there’s a very good chance Zoë has had something to do with it.

From the early days of Wild Oven to where we are today, Zoë has been there.
Prepping.
Packing.
Planning.
Problem solving.
Pack list making.

And it definitely doesn’t stop at P’s...

Cooking.
Client communicating.
Bookkeeping.
Maintenance.
Day saving.
And keeping the rest of us going.

She’s cooked in fields, barns, gardens and probably a few places we’ve collectively tried to forget.
Through sunshine, sideways rain, impossible timings and the occasional Wild Oven curveball.

Thousands of guests.
Hundreds of events.
Countless fires lit.
A LOT of food.
And ten years of giving absolutely everything to it.

But what makes Zoë so important to The Wild Oven isn’t just what she does.
It’s how much she cares.
About the food.
About our couples and clients.
About the team.
And about getting it right.

The Wild Oven has changed enormously in 10 years.
Zoe has grown with it, shaped it and become a huge part of what it is. (Including the team toilet that she came in one Saturday to decorate on her own time… who does that?? Zoë, that’s who.)

So here’s to 10 years of Zoë.
Our General Manager, problem solver, fire fighter (occasionally literally), and a massive part of the Wild Oven family. We genuinely wouldn’t be The Wild Oven without you.
Thank you, Zoe. ❤️🔥 (swipe to see some more piccys)

Well… that’s a wrap on Maddy’s Wild Oven era 🥲🤎

What started as a one-year work placement alongside her Food & Business Management degree at Newcastle Uni turned into a whole lot more.

Somehow, Maddy went from landing in our inbox to becoming one of the team, and we’re not quite sure when that happened!

We’ve seen the growth, the hard work, the confidence, the sass (the good kind!😂) and everything in between.

Last week we gave her the Wild Oven send-off she deserved, and although we’re absolutely buzzing for what’s next for her, we’re going to miss having her around.

Good luck with your final year, Mads. We know you’re going to smash it.

Go get ’em 🤎🔥

There are some wedding stories that stay with you. This is one of them….

Matt joined this wedding as one of our chefs. But alongside being a brilliant chef, he’s also training to become a paramedic, and on this particular day, that meant being there for something far more important than the food. The bride’s dad needed some extra care and support to make it to the ceremony. Matt stepped in, and with the help of the car team, they made sure he got there. He was able to give his daughter away alongside her mother being there too.

When the bride told us she had cried all the way to the registry office, worried that her Mum and Dad might miss her wedding, we honestly felt it. This is why we love what we do.

Yes, we’re here for the wood-fired food, the big feasts and the fireside cooking. But we’re also there for the people, the unexpected moments and the memories that matter long after the plates have been cleared.

Thank you to our lovely couple for trusting us with their day, and for sharing this with us.

Turns out, we’ve been kinda chic all along.
