🧡

The cherry trees are heavy with fruit, which can only mean one thing… cherry season is here! 🍒✨

I always look forward to baking with whatever is in season, and these Cherry Bakewell Buns are my latest favourite. Soft, buttery buns filled with homemade cherry jam and rich frangipane, then topped with fresh cherries and a scattering of flaked almonds. 😋

They’ll be fresh from the oven and waiting for you at the Confolens market on Saturday morning. If you’re passing by, do stop and treat yourself to one — they pair beautifully with a morning coffee and a wander around the market. 🍒🥐❤️
