You know it's cooling down when you check the temp of your fridge because it's colder outside!! But when you have this view in the morning it's not hard to get amongst the day.

We've been busy making sausage patties and slicing bacon for breakfast service this morning. Served between 0900-1130.

The Old School Tea Room and La Vieille Ecole are open for business 0900-1600 today so why not pop in and try some of our delicious food and browse a while.

Good morning all, she's due to be damp today so why not pop in and see us. Guaranteed to be bright and cheery in The Old School Tea Room and La Vieille Ecole. This week we have lemon drizzle cake with a handmade lemon curd filling, carrot cake (GF) and chocolate cake along side scones and of course our lunches.

Soups are a peppery leek and potato or a red pepper and sweet potato. Pie this week is pork and apple.

In trying to keep as much of our produce as local as possible, we will be serving our bacon/sausage/egg rolls in a freshly baked crusty bread roll this week. Our local baker is just 4km away and will bake these lovely rolls in the early hours of Sunday, guaranteeing that they are fresh for our breakfast service.

We try to source as much as possible from local producers and welcome feedback from our guests as to whether it's a good choice or whether we can do better

We are open 1000-1600 Saturday to Monday inclusive with an early opening on Sunday for breakfast starting at 0900. Please message us if you'd like to come for breakfast so we can save you a seat 😉

Yay for some rain! I know you won't all feel the same but we need it!! We're very glad we took down the large gazebo yesterday.

We are doing great things in the kitchen this week with a nice peppery leek & potato soup and a lovely red pepper & sweet potato soup too. Pie this week is pork in apple c***r & vegetables....... Delicious!

Please remember we are open 1hr earlier than normal on Sundays as we serve a full cooked breakfast from 0900-1130. Let us know if you'd like to join us so I know how many breakfasts to cater for. You won't leave hungry

Hard to believe that we have 'winterised' the outdoor area of The Old School Tea Room today! Beautiful weather still but change is coming and we'll only get caught out if we wait.

Pool is ready for winter too so happy with our jobs today. Oh, and we did a furniture appraisal for La Vieille Ecole so watch their space for new stock coming soon.

Full service is still available, Sunday breakfast will be served inside from here on in so fear not, all is well.
