🇪🇹 Exciting News!

I am honored to be among the 19 Ethiopian SMEs representing Ethiopia at the 29th Rwanda International Trade Fair (RITF), taking place from 28 July to 17 August 2026. This is a historic moment as Ethiopia is participating in the fair for the first time.

Our participation is made possible through the collaboration of the ECOTRADE Project (Expertise France), UNCTAD, CAWEE, and the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) to strengthen Ethiopian SMEs, especially women-led businesses, under the AfCFTA.

I was delighted to participate in the hybrid training on the United Kingdom's Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS), organized by the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) in collaboration with the United Kingdom Government at the Ethiopian Standards Institute's Quality Village in Addis Ababa.

The training brought together government institutions, development partners, exporters, business associations, and private sector representatives, both in person and virtually. It offered valuable insights into the opportunities available through the DCTS and how Ethiopian businesses can enhance their competitiveness and expand exports to the UK market.

My sincere appreciation to the organizers for this informative initiative and their continued commitment to strengthening Ethiopia's trade and export sector.

Honored to attend the pre-event briefing for the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa. 🇪🇹🇨🇳

It was a great opportunity to connect with business leaders and explore new opportunities for trade and collaboration between Africa and China.

A fun surprise—the lottery ticket I received at registration (No. 353) was selected as one of the lucky winners! 🎉

I was honored to attend the pre-event briefing for the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa.

The event brought together diplomats, policymakers, business leaders, and private sector representatives to explore how African and Chinese businesses can strengthen trade and economic cooperation through the opportunities offered by the Canton Fair. It was inspiring to witness the shared commitment to building partnerships that foster innovation, sustainable growth, and expanded market access.

As the Founder and CEO of Momentous Trading PLC, I deeply value platforms like this that connect entrepreneurs with global opportunities and promote meaningful cross-border collaboration. I am excited about the possibilities the upcoming Canton Fair offers for creating new partnerships and expanding international trade.

To make the day even more memorable, every participant received an entrance ticket with a lottery number. To my surprise and delight, my ticket—No. 353—was selected as one of the lucky winners! It was an unexpected blessing and a wonderful highlight of an already impactful event.

My sincere appreciation goes to the organizers for hosting such a well-coordinated and insightful program. I look forward to representing Momentous Trading PLC and YAD Coffee at the upcoming Canton Fair and contributing to stronger trade and investment ties between Africa and China.
