Our chefs are back from Thailand 🇹🇭✨⁠

During the Lotus & Lime Chef Challenge auditions, Keneth, Jacob and Aaron stood out by consistently capturing the essence of authentic Thai cooking - the delicate balance of heat, acidity, salt and sweetness that makes Thai food so powerful, fresh and memorable.⁠

That same foundation earned them the opportunity to travel to Thailand together with Pehr, representing Lotus & Lime on a journey of deeper learning, inspiration and refinement.⁠

From training with Thai cuisine instructors and cooking in professional kitchens to tasting their way through Bangkok, the trip sharpened their understanding of spices, curry pastes, wok technique, fresh herbs and the soul behind Thai cuisine.⁠

Now they return to Costa Rica with an even more precise feel for Thai flavors - ready to bring everything they mastered, experienced and learned to the table at Lotus & Lime in Huacas this August 🌶️🥥🌿⁠

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for chefs in Costa Rica — ready for Thailand and a guaranteed job?

A major new project is opening in Huacas: Lotus & Lime, part of the Finca Escondia Racquet Club, located in Huacas, Guanacaste, neighboring Reserva Conchal. The restaurant is scheduled to open around April 15, 2026 in Huacas — and we’re recruiting three chefs for a rare opportunity:

•⁠ ⁠15 days in Thailand: culinary school + hands-on training
•⁠ ⁠Authentic Thai training — real techniques, real flavors
•⁠ ⁠Guaranteed job at Lotus & Lime after the trip

Important (requirements):
•⁠ ⁠English is required
•⁠ ⁠Working permit in Costa Rica
•⁠ ⁠Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a chef
•⁠ ⁠Must be able to provide references
•⁠ ⁠Applicants must be able to relocate/stay in the Huacas/Conchal area and be available to work locally once selected (you must have — or be able to arrange — housing in the area)

Thailand travel requirement (for the Chef Challenge):
•⁠ ⁠You must be available to travel to Thailand for 15 days, departing from Costa Rica between March 13–20, 2026 (exact departure date will be confirmed shortly).
