We deliver local and organic food to our customers throughout Toronto and the surrounding area. Happily, this practice also supports local families, a cleaner environment, and ensures that the produce retains the most nutrients. We work with a number of small local organic farms in Ontario and, in season, 80-90% of our produce comes from local Ontario farms. We try hard to provide the best service and get the freshest possible foods to our customers doors - as conveniently as possible. Thanks a lot for looking at our page!

A bit of modern technology, a bit of tradition, and a whole lot of love. 🫂

This Thanksgiving season support a local family owned farm (and also get a super delicious, fresh, turkey)!

The small family team, Colin and AmyBeth Brubacher, along with their three daughters, believe in doing things the right way, even if it takes more time and care. (And we can tell!) Colin’s passion for people and the farm shines through in everything he does. Raised on a farm, Colin quickly found his favourite place: the barn, and this passion made its way through the rest of the family too.

His three daughters, Stella, Zoe, and the infamous Turkey Whisperer, Macy, bring energy, heart, and a love for the farm to every aspect of running Scotch Line Turkey Co. From working in the barn and asking questions on how things work, to running the management behind the scenes, this sister trio is unstoppable. And how can we forget the pivotal farminista that makes the business a home, AmyBeth Brubacher.

Together, they raise their turkeys to provide the highest quality meat possible, that they'd feed their own kids. Fed a plant-based diet made from corn, soy, and wheat, and exposed to open, temperature-controlled barns lined, their turkeys are the talk of the town. The farm setup protects birds from extreme weather, predators, and disease while allowing them to thrive in a healthy, low-stress environment. 🦃

Real talk: your watermelon might look a little different this year 👀

Between a brutal late-June heat dome, storms that wouldn't quit, and pollinator bees taking unplanned rain days, Ontario's watermelon patches had a rough go this summer. The plants basically hit pause on growing bigger, so instead of the usual 15-20lb giants, our farmers ended up with a lot of "bowling ball" melons.

But here's the thing: smaller doesn't mean lesser. Same sweet, juicy flavour, just... snack-sized. Less watermelon guilt, more watermelon per bite (technically not how math works, but you get it).

Small fruit, big flavour, still 100% Ontario-grown. That's a trade we'll take. 🌱

Mama's Earthlings are turning into their own urban farmers 👩‍🌾

One of our customers sent in photos of her Thai Basil grown using a sapling from Fiddle Foot Farm and we are absolutely obsessed with the results!

Said best from our friends at Fiddle Foot Farm:
💧 Make sure there is good drainage and loosen the soil underneath and around the seedling
☀️ Sunlight, sunlight sunlight!
🌱Pinch from the top of your Basil when harvesting it. This allows the plant to continue to grow and get multiple yields from it

Who knows, maybe a fragrant green coconut curry is next on the menu 👩‍🍳

From a leap of faith to full-blown flavor: meet Ignacio and Mimi of Reyes Farms in Niagara. 🍑✨

When Ignacio looked Mimi in the eye and said "trust me," she traded her 10-year career as a Toronto fashion designer for farm boots and we are so glad she took that leap.

This farm's got a lot of history behind it. Originally known as Bizjak Farms, Mimi grew up with her family on the lands of Reyes Farms after her dad purchased his first fruit farm in 1974. Ignacio first came to Canada in 2005 through the Seasonal Agriculture Worker Program, to begin his farming journey. Flash forward to 2014, and with some convincing, a lot of work, and love, the farm wa shanded off from Mimi's brother to the couple, and was officialy Mimi's and Ignacio's.

Together, they poured their hearts into reviving the soil, learning best practices, and building a farm rooted in deep love for the land and community. Today, Ignacio still walks the fields every single day to catch the fruit at its peak ripeness.

We are so proud to source their unbelievable plums, peaches, nectarines, and sweet & sour cherries! Even though cherry season has officially passed, we just couldn't pass on showing the goregous fruits of their labour (literally). 🍒

Is it basil pronounced baz-uhl, or bay-zuhl? 🥴🌱

Yesterday, we posted about how to take care of your tomato seedling from Fiddle Foot Farm (albeit, I'm a little late to the game in posting all this content, I'll admit 😅), so naturally it makes sense that we give you tips on a tomato's best friend.

Watch the vid in its entirety for more tips, but here are the highlights:
1. Loosen the soil underneath and around the seedling. Basil needs good drainage.
2. Make sure there's lots of direct exposure to the sun (not just heat).
3. When you're harvesting your basil, make sure to pinch from the top to allow the basil to continue to grow so you can get multiple yields from your plant.
