Since 2021, Loaves and Fishes has been a beacon of hope for our neighbours in Summerside, PEI, who face food insecurity Since 2021 Loaves and Fishes have been dedicated to providing nourishing, homemade meals to families and individuals facing food insecurities. Over the last few months, the need for fresh, comforting, and nutritious meals in our community has grown significantly. At Loaves and Fishes, we are committed to making sure none of our neighbors go without—but to keep up with the demand, we need to grow our volunteer family!

🔥 Teamwork makes the dream work! Big Cook Day is happening this Saturday! 🔥

We are on a mission to scale up our meal program and get fresh, nourishing food out to as many neighbors as possible—but we can't do it without our incredible volunteer crew!

This Saturday, June 6th, we’re hosting a high-volume cook day at Summerside Community Church. It’s going to be a fun, fast-paced, and incredibly rewarding day. Whether you can stay for a short shift or a bit longer, your presence helps us hit our targets.

Warm Soup, Warm Heart!!!!

Take a break from your Sunday routine and join us for a meaningful fundraiser!

Loaves and Fishes is hosting a special event at the Summerside Community Church to support Family Violence Prevention Week in PEI. We’ll have a delicious pot of homemade soup and pastries ready for you from 12:00 until 2:00 this Sunday!

Whether you’re grabbing a coffee to go or sitting down for a bowl of soup, your contribution helps us support neighbors who are starting over. Let’s make a difference together! 💜

💃🏽Red Dress Walk 2026 ❤️

The Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI invites you to join us for our annual Red Dress Walk in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+).

This walk is a time for remembrance, reflection, and unity as we come together to honour the lives of those we have lost, support families and communities, and continue raising awareness.

We encourage all participants to wear red as a symbol of solidarity and to stand with us in this important movement.

Our team will be hard at work at 150 Industrial Crescent (Summerside Community Church) from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are on a mission to prep and package nutritious meals for our delivery program, ensuring no one in our community goes without.

We would love your help! Whether you can drop in to volunteer for just one hour or stay for the whole day, every bit of help counts. It takes a village to make this happen!

Help us deliver meals in Summerside!

Hi neighbors! The team at Loaves and Fishes is looking for a little help from our community. We are in need of reusable shopping bags to help us deliver nutritious meals to local individuals and families facing food insecurity.

If you have a stash of extra bags taking up space in your pantry or trunk, we would love to put them to good use!

Pickup: We are happy to arrange a pickup at your convenience.

Impact: Every bag helps us ensure a meal gets safely to someone in need.
