To all my American and Canadian followers, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Do you recognize this man?
On May 10, 2023, this man was found collapsed on a street in Amsterdam and was taken to OLVG Hospital. Doctors discovered that he had suffered a stroke or cerebral infarction, which left him with aphasia. Since then, he has been barely able to communicate and cannot tell anyone who he is or where he comes from.
Today, he lives in a care facility in Amsterdam Southeast. But more than three years later, his identity remains a mystery.
This makes me so sad. Just imagine not being able to speak for years and no one knowing your name.
The police are now investigating his social life, hoping to find someone who knew him. They discovered that he was part of a Buddhist community in Amsterdam, where people knew him by the nickname “Lucky.”
They also found out that he occasionally had a drink at Soupenzo, near Amsterdam’s Waterlooplein. There, he was known as “Chris the Canadian.”
The team believes he may originally be from the United States or Canada. He always spoke English, with an accent that made people think of one of those countries. Unfortunately, he can no longer provide any clues himself.
His DNA and fingerprints have been compared with databases containing information about missing and deceased people, but so far, nothing has led to an identification.
Even his former home has not provided an answer. Police know where he lived, but because he paid his rent in cash, they have been unable to trace his identity through his housing records.
So, after three years of searching, the police decided to release images of him to the public.
Somewhere out there, there may be someone who recognizes him. Someone who knows his real name. Someone who remembers where he came from or someone who has been wondering what ever happened to him.
Because behind the name “Lucky” is a human being who has been living for years without being able to tell the world who he is.
Please share and if you have any clue who he is, please get in touch with the Amsterdam police.
