Today I drive home with a heart full of gratitude. 🧡

This week was a journey of learning, but also a reminder to slow down, enjoy the quiet, and simply relax… which anyone who knows me knows is not always easy! 😊

I soaked in the incredible sky displays, admired landscapes so unique compared to the Prince George area, and took in the beauty that surrounded me each day.

But what made this experience truly special was the amazing company, the stories, the laughter, and the incredible homemade meals made from the hard work of their garden and the harvest from the hunt.

This trip reminded me that every adventure is about more than the outcome — it’s about the lessons learned, the connections made, and the memories created.

I’m grateful for this experience, for the people who welcomed me, and for the opportunity to keep learning and growing. 🏔️🧡

A little thank-you dinner for the amazing family who welcomed me into their home and took me hunting. ❤️🌲

I wanted to share my gratitude the best way I know how… through food. Tonight was bannock tacos — a little taste of tradition, a lot of laughs, and a reminder that the best memories are made around the table.

Grateful for the kindness, the stories, the time shared, and the new friendships made along the way. 🥰🍂

Found one lonely little Shaggy Mane standing there all by itself… 🍄

I did the responsible forager thing and left it behind to multiply… but I’m not going to lie, I may have walked away while mentally planning the delicious meal it could have become. 😅

The struggle is real when you know just how good these beauties are cooked up! 🤤

Patience today… hopefully a whole family tomorrow. 🌱🍄

Amongst the fields of canola, barley, wheat, and so much more, there are little hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. 🌾🍂

Tucked into the gentle hills of trembling aspen are clusters of ruby-red low bush cranberries, kinnikinnick, bunchberries, and plump low bush blueberries. Nature’s little gifts hidden in plain sight.

Nothing compares to a beautiful sunny autumn day, a light breeze, great company, and the incredible colours of the season slowly turning around us.

Moments like these remind me just how blessed we are to walk this land, learn from it, and appreciate all it has to offer. ❤️🍁

This morning started off beautifully 🌅☕

A breathtaking sunrise, a hot cup of coffee, and catching up on the coffee news from the area I’m visiting. There’s a slight chill in the air — not quite a frost yet, but you can feel that cooler weather creeping in. 🍂

These quiet mornings, surrounded by nature, are a reminder to slow down and enjoy the little moments. 🥰
