Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we've chosen to set up preorders our vegan/gluten free pumpkin pies and are upcoming Salted Daughter Recipe Book! Quite a few requests came in, and to keep things organized, preorder forms are best! If you've already ordered with me via messenger or email, fret not - I've added you to my list!

🥧 Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pies

Our special gluten-free & vegan pumpkin pie features a delicious nut crust and is completely dairy- and gluten-free.

We’re also offering a vegan version with a more traditional pie crust for those who prefer it.

Pies will be pre-baked and frozen ahead of pickup, with simple warming instructions included. They can also be kept frozen for up to 6 months, so you don't have to eat your Thanksgiving pie all at once. 😉

Order by the evening of October 1 for pickup October 4.

Hello, Salted Daughter friends,

I am sitting looking at the ocean as the tide is going out onto beautiful Donkersley Beach. I’m so grateful for this special place we call home.

Today, I write this message to my amazing bake stand supporters to share with you that I am called in new directions with a focus on my creative path. I am fortunate to have developed a thriving creative arts coaching and teaching niche, and work as an entrepreneur with a focus on creative arts. One that necessitates a greater investment of time, energy and magic at this time. 🪄

Salted Daughter was born from my creative dreaming - putting my baking skills and dedication to local food security to good use in a way that brings intention, beauty, love, and care for community. And it has more than fulfilled my hopes! Evidenced by the many amazing connections, new friends, and experiences of serendipity and magic that have all occurred through a humble baking stand. ✨🍪

The final scheduled bake days for the Salted Daughter stand will be:
Sunday, September 27
Thursday, October 1
& Sunday, October 4

That’s three more opportunities to come out to the stand, enjoy baked goods infused with care and intention, and celebrate Salted Daughter completing on a high note. 💜

A few extra goodnesses:
📖 I am going to be putting together a small Salted Daughter cookbook that includes stand favourite recipes - like our scones, bars, pastries, soft pretzels, and more. These will be printed and spiral bound and will be part of a little legacy project. Please comment or private message if you know you want a copy as it will help me determine print volumes. 😉

🍁 Ahead of Thanksgiving I am offering my very special recipe vegan/gluten-free pumpkin pie or ‘just vegan’ pumpkin pie. It’s hard to find good vegan/GF pumpkin pie, but my recipe is dynamite! Pies are $30 and if you’re interested, you can connect with me through email and place a pre-order now. They will be baked and frozen and ready for pick up on October 4.

I will continue to share upcoming bake menus and will have a final farewell sometime in October providing ways to stay connected with me and my creative offerings.

I welcome your comments and feedback and would love to hear your experience of the stand or any special moments with Salted Daughter goodies involved - these reflections might end up in the cookbook!
