The Kunkel family, who has been deeply rooted in the area for over a century, brings a wealth of experience and passion to their venture. Patricia Kunkel, one of the owners, has been a well-known figure in the community since 2010, with Hummingbird Realty and the former Hummingbird at King and Ma

in restaurant. The Kunkel family trio, consisting of Patricia, Nick, and Kurtis, has been diligently preparing for the pizzeria's launch by researching and perfecting unique pizza styles that are uncommon in the region. With a strong focus on quality and authenticity, Hummingbird Pizza offers both Detroit Style Pizza and New York Style Pizza, complemented by a distinctive selection of toppings. The family's commitment to the community is evident through their mascot, Peppy the Hummingbird, symbolizing the vibrant and adaptable nature of both the pizzeria and the town of Powassan. Since their soft opening during the 2024 Powassan Parade of Lights event, Hummingbird Pizza has steadily gained popularity among locals and visitors alike. As the business continues to grow and evolve, the menu and hours of operation may be subject to change. We are SOLD OUT & heading on vacation!

🍕First and most importantly: THANK YOU!

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of our amazing customers for your incredible, continued patronage and support. Your loyalty means everything to us.

It has been an absolutely wild, busy week for us thanks to an amazing influx of business from the film crews in town!

Because you all kept us so busy, we have officially run out of dough and will NOT be opening today, Saturday, August 29th.

We take this as a sign that it is time for our scheduled family vacation! ✈️🏖️

Our Upcoming Schedule:
