BEng in Sustainable & Renewable Energy Engineering at Carleton University and MBA Candidate at the University of Ottawa.

He is a Colombian entrepreneur making his way in the coffee industry. Raised in Colombia, he moved to Canada at an early age, where he has grown academically and professionally.

Freshly roasted coffee beans from brand-new local Ottawa roasters Dos Aves. A collaboration between two Carleton University graduates Ramón Lara and Juan Sanchez formed a partnership in 2021 to bring their homeland coffees to Canada. With direct farm-to-consumer coffee beans and roasting in Ottawa, "Dos Aves" which translates to "Two Birds" in English, represents the migrating, environmentalist partners.

Dos Aves est des grains de café fraîchement torréfiés par les tout nouveaux torréfacteurs locaux d'Ottawa. Deux diplômés de Carleton University, Ramón Lara et Juan Sanchez ont formé un partenariat en 2021 pour apporter au Canada les cafés de leur pays d'origine. Avec des grains de café provient directement de la ferme au consommateur et une torréfaction située à Ottawa, "Dos Aves", qui se traduit par "Deux oiseaux" en français, représente les partenaires migrateurs et écologistes.

📝 Ramon Lara, Co-Founder of Dos Aves Coffee Co.

BSc in Environmental Sciences at Carleton University (Ottawa). He is a Honduran coffee grower, trader, cupper and roaster.

Raised around coffee from a long family tradition he manages Finca Lara (Honduras), a coffee plantation founded as Finca Mi Alejandra in 1965 by his grandfather Juan Lara.

After many years of producing coffee, fruits and many other agricultural products for home and the local market, Ramón has taken the tradition to the next big step by exporting and selling his coffee and many more in Canada since 2016.
