Some good news from Cannery Restaurant at Pillar and Post Hotel: sake has joined the table.
Guests can now enjoy four sake selections, including Niagara, a sake from Fushimi, Kyoto, featuring an original label exclusive to Vintage Hotels / Niagara’s Finest Hotels.
We’re honoured to have played a part in bringing sake to the Cannery. A big thank you to Cannery Restaurant and the Pillar and Post team for making room for sake at the table.
Sake has spent far too long being introduced as “the drink for Japanese food.”
It’s actually much more sociable than that.
Turns out, it doesn’t need a Japanese menu to feel at home.
With the right pairing, one of sake’s greatest strengths — umami — can help deepen savoury flavours and bring different elements of a dish together.
