Excited to share that I've successfully completed my FoodSafe Level 2 certification!

As I continue developing my tea business and working toward opening a tea lounge, food safety has been an important area of learning. This certification has strengthened my understanding of food safety systems, risk management, employee training, and creating a safe environment for both customers and staff.

The Tea Cozy Cafe & Lounge is something I’ve been slowly building with a lot of heart, intention, and community in mind — a cozy tea-focused space centered around connection, slow living, wellness, and meaningful experiences here in the Westshore.

As I continue developing the business and pursuing funding opportunities, community feedback and engagement play a huge role in helping validate the concept and demonstrate local interest.

The Tea Cozy is a tea-first cafe & lounge focused on organic, botanical, loose-leaf teas. Our approach is simple and intentional: real plants, thoughtful sourcing, and teas prepared in ways that suit the season and the tea itself.

We’ll be popping up at local markets and events on the Westshore, offering a rotating selection of hot and cold-brewed teas, along with tea spritzers.

The pop-up lounge is the first step toward a permanent Tea Cozy Cafe & Lounge — a calm, welcoming space centered around tea, connection, and community. The goal is to build something lasting and rooted locally.

As we prepare to launch, we’re inviting the community to help shape what comes next. We’ve created a short survey to learn more about tea preferences, values, and what people would love to see in a future tea-focused space.
