It began with a desire to gather people around a table.

To bring people together over thoughtful food, create room for conversation, and let a summer evening unfold without anyone needing to rush away.

Beneath the Willow became exactly that.

seasonal tasting menu. A table shared between familiar faces and new ones. Courses arriving one by one, stories exchanged, and chairs left slightly askew as guests lingered together after the final course.

These photographs are only a glimpse of the menu, but they hold the feeling of the evening: beautiful food, wonderful company, and time spent well.

My next tasting menu experience, Under the Pines at Rideau Pines Farm, is now open for reservations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—and especially for the thoughtful words shared throughout the evening. Creating a meal for guests, including two fellow chefs, was both wonderfully nerve-racking and deeply affirming.

The evening may be over, but something meaningful began beneath the willow.
