Curbside recycling continues to evolve across BC, with a new expansion coming to the Central Okanagan. ♻️
Beginning May 1, 2026, Recycle BC will manage curbside recycling and add both flexible plastics and non-deposit glass bottles and jars to accepted materials in the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) and its member municipalities of Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and Electoral Areas (East and West).
Pink and grey boxes are now being delivered, and starting in May, residents will be able to recycle flexible plastics and non-deposit glass bottles and jars more conveniently, right at the curb.

For other communities looking to take part, we encourage you to continue diverting recyclable flexible plastics from garbage and taking them to participating depots and London Drug locations near you.
Every effort counts and it is thanks to continued participation that progress continues to be made across communities! Find a depot location near you: https://recyclebc.ca/where-can-i-recycle/find-a-depot/
