We're Hiring: Centre Assistant / Receptionist 🌱

The Root Cafe & Chronic Disease Reversal Centre is looking for a warm, organized, and genuinely caring Centre Assistant / Receptionist, the first face and voice people meet when they walk through our doors or reach out with a question.

About Us
The Root is an organic, whole-food, plant-based cafe and chronic disease reversal centre in downtown Duncan. We teach people how to reverse chronic disease and reach optimal health through food as medicine, workshops, and community.

What we're looking for:
✔️ A genuine interest in health, wellness, or food as medicine
✔️ Excellent communication skills, warm on the phone and in person
✔️ Strong organizational skills and comfort managing bookings
✔️ Calm under pressure, some days are busy, some conversations are heavy
✔️ Reception or customer service experience is an asset, but attitude matters more

👀 That's our owner, Scott, and our Programs Director, Dr. Nicolette Richer, hard at work bringing The Root to life.

Every board, every plant, every finish has been chosen with intention.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, finding beauty in imperfection, the Root is designed to be a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and nourish yourself. 🌿

Located at the corner of Kenneth Street and Canada Avenue in downtown Duncan, we'll serve organic, whole-food, plant-based meals rooted in the philosophy that food is medicine.

Next door, our Chronic Disease Reversal Centre offers workshops, coaching, and programs for people ready to take control of their health.

We can't wait to welcome you. Centre opens July 15.
