Our sourdough bread loaves have risen beautifully, posing a challenge to fit in our standard packaging. The difference in this batch comes from feeding the sourdough starter with rye flour, which yields a starter that is more vigorous and happy. The minimal amount of rye flour used does not alter the bread's flavor profile significantly enough to categorize it as anything other than Classic White, which stands distinct from our dedicated rye sourdough. We will be supplying 4 loaves to the Rocky Rapids Store before 2pm today.

With the excitement of Christmas and the New Year behind us, I'm back in the kitchen baking. ♥️

Four classic white loaves of freshly baked sourdough bread will be delivered to the Rocky Rapids Store, today, shortly before 3 pm.

If you haven’t tried sourdough, it is an excellent choice for grilled cheese sandwiches, if I may say so. 🥪

‘Tis the season for festive flavours, like my new CRANBERRY, ROSEMARY & PECORINO CHEESE sourdough bread, baked fresh this morning. Available at the Rocky Rapids Store!

OR…

**Pop it in the freezer (sourdough freezes exceptionally well), hollow out the loaf, saving all the inside pieces of course, and fill with spinach, artichoke or garlic dip for Christmas!!🎄

It’s been forever and a day since I’ve posted! We got through the summer months, began adjusting to a new school routine with our eldest beginning grade 1, scrambled during the teachers strike and are just gaining back some of our routine!

All the while, I’ve kept up the baking and decided today was a perfect day to take some pictures!

These are 2 orders, which were ready to go this morning!

Lots of Jalapeno Cheddar loaves, a regular loaf and a cheddar loaf. The sandwich loafs proofed up beautifully and were too big to fit in my usual packaging! I also made a whole batch of oatmeal cream pie cookies… a few for the order and a few for us of course! 😉

Currently packaging up all kinds of sourdough bread and other goodies.

New additions this week are:
DILL PICKLE BREAD
RHUBARB IMPOSSIBLE PIE (individual size)
CINNAMON ROLLS (individual size)
…as per usual, all made with sourdough!

Today was an exciting day! I had to postpone frosting a batch of sourdough cinnamon rolls that were cooling on a rack, to attend our eldest's kindergarten graduation ceremony! Congratulations Wyatt, we love you so so so so much! Now back to those rolls…
