For the past three years, I have attended Hamanasi Resort Women’s Month Rally, sitting in the audience, listening closely to the keynote speakers and the powerful stories shared by other women. Each year, I left feeling inspired, encouraged, and reminded that our experiences both painful and beautiful, shape who we become. Those messages didn’t just stay in the room with me. They followed me into my personal life, into my journey as a mother, and even into my business.

This year was different.

For the first time, I stood not as a listener, but as a speaker. I shared my testimony. I spoke about going through abuse, about the trauma I have experienced, I spoke about ways I had to show up for me and my children and about the lessons that life has taught me through some of my hardest moments.

I know what it feels like to sit in silence while battling depression and anxiety, to rely on pills just to get through the day. I know what it feels like not to show up, not because you don’t want to, but because the weight you carry feels too heavy. I know what it is to walk alone and feel like there is no support beside you. I know what it feels like to go through the justice system and feel as though the law is not on your side. I know what it is to look at your children while you are hurting inside, yet still stand strong because your only mission is to protect them. I know what it means to fight for peace even when you’re tired. But through all of these moments, through every tear and every battle, I realized something powerful… these experiences did not break me, they shaped me. They forced me to find a strength I didn’t know I had and to keep fighting.

I also shared a very special moment in my journey where I mentioned Mrs Carmen Nunez. During one of the hardest year of my life, when everything around me felt heavy and uncertain, she did something simple but powerful, she asked me to look in the mirror. Not just glance at myself, but to truly look. To look deeply enough to see beyond the pain, beyond the exhaustion, beyond the woman who felt broken at the time.

That mirror became more than just a reflection. It became a moment of truth. It forced me to recognize my beauty when I struggled to see it, to recognize my strength when I felt weak, and to acknowledge the power that was still inside of me even when life had tried to silence it. It wasn’t an easy moment. In fact, it hurt. Because when you look deeply at yourself, you also face the parts of your life that need healing, accountability, and change.

But in that moment, I understood something important: the change I was searching for could only start with me. No one else could do that inner work for me.

This is why women like Miss Carmen are so important in our lives. This is why I say big thanks to Hamanasi for what they do at their workplace and the community. Sometimes we need another woman to hold up that mirror, not to judge us, but to remind us of who we truly are when we forget. More women need spaces and moments like this, where we are encouraged to reflect, to heal, and to rediscover our worth. Because when a woman truly sees herself, her beauty, her strength, and her power… she begins to rise in ways she never thought possible.

One of the greatest lessons I take away from this experience is the importance of telling our stories even the parts that are difficult to share. Domestic violence, abuse, and trauma are painful realities for many women, but speaking about them helps break the silence. It helps other women know they are not alone.

Today, when I look at my life, I no longer only see the pain I walked through. I see the woman I became because I refused to stay there. I am no longer just a survivor of my experiences; I am a woman who understands them, who has lived them, and who now stands with purpose because of them.

And this is how I see my future continuing to stand, continuing to speak, and continuing to fight for women. Not because I read about these struggles, but because I lived them. Because sometimes the most powerful advocates are the women who had to walk through the fire themselves and still chose to rise.

If my story can help even one woman recognize her strength, find her voice, or believe that healing is possible, then every step of my journey has been worth it.

I am thankful 🙏🏽 Thank you God ❤️ It is well 🌼 😌 Thank you Hamanasi for this opportunity.

Happy Women’s Month to all the incredible women out there. May we continue to uplift, support, and empower one another as we walk our individual journeys. Here’s to every woman who is rising, healing, and becoming the best version of herself.

Today’s agenda for Holy Family Preschool during Child Stimulation Month was house visits, and we were happy to be the final stop!

My daughter Nayeli was so excited to have her classmates visit, and it was such a pleasure to treat them all to ice cream and delicious cinnamon rolls from Jashlenn's Bakery after a morning of stops.

Thank you to the teachers and parents for the work you do in supporting our children’s growth and development. I love being part of moments like these that bring families, schools, and community together.

Thankful ❤️
