Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Where Love Can Thrive ❤️

Mark 12:28-31
Jesus says love is the greatest commandment. He said the most important thing is for us to love God and our neighbor. If this is so, why do we see so little love around us, especially in the church and in Christians? 😬

Love is not just a feeling, and when we treat it that way we start off on the wrong foot. 🚫

John 14:15-16
Love is not just something you feel or read about. It is something you follow through on. It isn’t something we are naturally drawn to. Love is beautiful, fun, and precious, but it isn’t always easy or come natural to us. ❤️

Love is proven by what we do, not what we say. It matters how we treat people and that is what defines how important love is to us. 👏

Matthew 7:16
Fruit is the evidence. When we look at a Christian no matter how long they have known Christ, we expect to see something different about them compared to those who live in the world because who you are is evident by the fruit you produce. 🍎

Galatians 5:22-23
The fruit of the spirit is the identification of believers. We can identify where someone stands by the way they speak and act. When people consider your words and actions, where do people think you stand in regard to God? ❔

Love is not talk or opinions. It is fruit. 🍎

Something is growing whether it’s good or bad. We must ask what is growing out of our lives today? 🌱

God has a purpose and plan for all of our lives just like an apple tree has a purpose to produce apples. If an apple tree is only growing green leaves and no fruit, it is not in its purpose. Are we representing God’s specific plan and purpose for our lives? 🌳

Ask yourself, “Who am I when no one is watching?” That is who you truly are. It doesn’t mean we don’t mess it up or that we are always perfect and set the perfect example. There is grace, but we need to pay attention to who we are consistently. 🔎

We have a significant responsibility to represent Christ to others. When we neglect Jesus’ command to love God and others, we run the risk of damaging our influence to someone else that we may have had the opportunity to be the only witness and fruit that someone got to see. 💔

People don’t experience our faith through our words. They experience it through the way we live our lives. 👏

1 John 3:18
We are to act in love. ❤️

As a culture, we have misunderstood what love is. As a church, we have not done the best job defining it. 😬

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is not jealous, boastful, prideful, dishonoring, self-seeking, easily angered, and does not keep a record of wrongs. ❌

Love is patient and kind. ✅

The problem is not with love but what we have made it out to be. 🤯

Faithfulness is the foundation where love abounds. God is faithful. He doesn’t have to try to be, it’s who He is. ❤️

John 3:16, Romas 5:8
God loved us so much that He sent His one and only Son while we were still sinners and hated Him. Jesus loved us so much that He came even knowing what it would cost Him. ✝️

Matthew 26:39
A thought to consider and reflect on:
Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. When He was in the garden, Jesus’ love may have hit the limit of human capability, though the God love He has is never ending. He knew He was going to face great agony spiritually, emotionally, and physically and that He was about to experience hanging on the cross and bearing the sins He didn’t deserve to bear. Jesus’ faithfulness is what prevailed in the moment to carry out His Father’s will. ❤️

So often we try over and over again to love people who don’t love us back, and they continually hurt us and push us away. We eventually come to the end where our love isn’t resilient. Just like Jesus, faithfulness is what carries through when love has ended. Faithfulness produces the resilience necessary for love to succeed. 🙌

Sometimes it is difficult to love our neighbor. Faithfulness is what we stand on to carry us through so we can love when it is difficult. It’s not one or the other: love calls us to faithfulness and faithfulness carries us through to be loving when love is low or gone. We know what the standard is for us based on the Word: we are called to love. When love is low, we have to rely on faithfulness. 👏

We have given the impression that love is natural and always easy. So when love fails and isn’t there anymore, we must rely on faithfulness and integrity just like Jesus. When He hung on the cross, He did it because He loved us (as evidenced by His praying for the forgiveness of those who crucified Him), and He was also faithful and had integrity to stay the course of His Father’s mission. ✝️

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing hymn, verse 3:
“O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let that grace now, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart; O take and seal it;
Seal it for thy courts above.” 🥹

The writer of this hymn understood our hearts are naturally prone to wander. 😬

Proverbs 20:6, Jeremiah 17:19, Romans 7:15
Left to our good intentions, we fall short at best. 😣

We love God. As a Christian, our greatest desire is to please Him and to follow Him. ❤️

Love and faithfulness don’t come naturally. Jesus defined what love looks like. 🥹

Romans 12:9
Love does not accept sin. We are to hold tightly to what is right. 👏

We are not to pretend to love others. ❌

We are to truly love others. ✅

John 1:14
We do not choose between grace or truth, but walk in both. 👏

John 8:31-32
We don’t define truth. If you will remain faithful to Jesus’ teachings, you will know the truth that sets us free from trying to define who we or others should be and from striving to earn and change. 📖

What were His teachings? The most important was to love God and love your neighbor. ❤️

When we know and study the Word and allow that to become an integral part of our walk, we will be free from the trying and struggling we tend to do to get to our desired destination. ⛓️‍💥

It’s not your truth or my truth. It’s His truth. And by that truth, we will someday all be judged equally. 🙌

Unfailing love is grace. Faithfulness is truth. We are never going to have Jesus’ level of grace, but we can certainly set that as our standard because He is the truth. ❤️

John 8:1-11
He doesn’t condemn you. That’s love. He also said go and sin no more. That’s truth. ⚖️

The world says truth and love cannot coexist. 🚫

We have allowed love to define truth in our culture. We cannot love everybody without truth. We need love and faithfulness which requires truth. We have to make a stand and ask ourselves where we have made love too soft and truth too harsh. 🤔

We have to as ourselves, “Where does my life not match my words?” ❌

You don’t look like Jesus when you say the right things. You look like Jesus when you do the right things. 👏

When we combine love and truth on the foundation of faithfulness and find ourselves at the end of our love, our life built on the Word and His teachings will carry us through. It’s not that love left, it’s that our emotions don’t allow us to see it. Faithfulness will stand no matter what because it isn’t a feeling. It’s a foundation, and by that we can live our faith like Jesus -who set the perfect example for us. ❤️

Where do you stand? How do you define love and how important it is in your heart? Ask God to shine truth in your life, and He will be faithful to do so. 🔦

Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Easter Sunday ❤️

Everything God did on the last week of His earthly life was because of love. 🥹

The history of Jesus’ life, death, & resurrection is historical fact. 👏

Phase 1: Jesus made a choice ✅
Mark 14:32-41
Jesus made the choice to go through with the end of His mission. He didn’t have to. He even begged God to let it pass. 💔

The disciples couldn’t stay up and pray with Him even though He was in anguish over what was coming and what He had to do. 😭

God the Father loved Jesus and sent an angel to minister to Jesus to strengthen and equip Him for the upcoming challenges. When we feel alone and don’t feel like you have comfort from friends, we can turn to God and His angels. 🙏

Jesus faced the cross because of a love: a love for you so you can be reconnected with God the Father. 🥹

There are seasons to grieve, and there are seasons to ask for God’s comfort so you can move on from there. Jesus grieved, He was comforted, and He moved forward. ❤️

John 18:4-8
Jesus declared who He is: the one they are looking for, the I AM. 👑

The soldiers stepped back at His declaration and were knocked to the ground by His glory and power. That power was the resurrection power! 😮

Jesus chose to declare the truth of who He was instead of trying to point them to arrest someone else. Jesus chose to go with them. They couldn’t have overpowered Him if they tried. 🙌

Mark 14:51-52
There are a couple theories about who the man who ran around was: He might have been Mark (the author) or he may have been a dead man who was resurrected from a nearby tomb. God is love and powerful. It is entirely plausible this man was resurrected. ❤️‍🩹

Phase 2: Jesus faced His accusers 🫵
Mark 14:53-65
The religious leaders searched for people who would accuse Jesus so they could kill Him. The devil is the accuser of the brethren. He is looking for reasons and ways to accuse you. The devil was behind the mob trying to accuse and harm Jesus. We have to look behind those who try to hurt us. 🧐

The witnesses could not get their stories to match up. Jesus faced those accusations even though they didn’t line up. The devil’s accusations against us don’t line up because we are under Jesus’ blood. ❤️

Sometimes those who are closest to us hurt us the most because they know about our worst qualities. 😬

Phase 3: Jesus was flogged 💔
Mark 15:15-21
By the time they were finished flogging, Jesus would be near death, even His bones could have been exposed by the cruelty. 💔

Through every horrible thing Jesus faced, He still chose in love for you to go through with it. It’s so heartbreaking to see people not choose Jesus even though He chose them. 😓

They asked Jesus, a man with no strength, flesh ripped from His body, to carry His cross until He fell under its weight and forced them to make someone else carry it. 💔

Phase 4: It Is Finished ✝️
John 19:28-37
They used to break the crucified victim’s legs so they would die faster. It was prophesied Jesus didn’t have His bones broken, and it was proven true as He was speared in the side. His heart stopped for us because of His love for us. 💔

The wages of sin is death. We are born into sin and death. We have to choose Him, choose life. ❤️

We doubt His love for us despite all He has done for us because we stop looking at Him and focus on our sins and mistakes. 🔎

Because of what He did, the I AM lives in us. The same Spirit of God that carried the cross lives in us. ✝️

God doesn’t need our defense. He loves you which caused Him to give up His Spirit for you. No one could take it. He wants us to now choose love for Him and for others instead of getting angry at those who are different than us or attack us and what we believe. ❤️

Phase 5: The Empty Tomb 🙌
Mark 16:1-8; John 20:1-9
Jesus was no longer dead, in the tomb, or in His grave clothes. ❤️

Jesus went to hell and took Satan’s authority, and we can take that authority over the enemy in Jesus’ precious Name because of what He did. 🗣️

We identify with what He has done for us.
We have been crucified with Christ.
We have been resurrected with Christ.
We are changed and made new because of Christ, and we renew our minds in His Word (Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17). 📖

Doubt is not sin. 🚫
Rejecting Jesus is. 😬
Choose to build a relationship with Him. ❤️
Though lack of faith is a sin, there is grace so keep pressing on through the difficult seasons with Him. 🙏

Remember: He chose you and loves you, no matter what you have done and even if you don’t feel worthy (which no one is!). Now you have the opportunity to choose Him and to live for Him every day. ❤️

Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Palm Sunday 🌴

Jesus entered Jerusalem at the start of the week that He knew would end in His crucifixion. ✝️

Matthew 21:1-11
The people laid down their coats and leaves on the road to show Jesus honor as they would a King. 👑

Jesus rode in on a donkey because it was prophesied in the Old Testament. It also symbolized humility. 🫏

Unlike earthly kings who rode in grand parades and on beautiful horses and chariots, Jesus embodies a different power rooted in humility and service. A few days after this entrance, He washed His disciples feet. 🫧

He didn’t ask for a fancy horse. He didn’t ask for honor. The people chose to honor Him. 🙌

The people of Jesus’ day (including His own disciples) were looking for a political savior because they were oppressed by Rome. Our country today is also searching for a political savior. 🔎

Jesus came to establish a spiritual Kingdom that does not get impacted by earthly kingdoms. He can redeem anybody. 🏰

Jesus showed true power lies in love, sacrifice, and grace. ❤️

His kingship wasn’t to save people from political oppression. He came to offer spiritual redemption. Without spiritual redemption, there is no physical redemption. When we come to Christ, the physical figures itself out. 🛟

The people sang, “Hosanna” which means “save us!” 🙌

Do we only look to Jesus to meet our immediate needs instead of looking internal to our need to be spiritually redeemed. Without Jesus in our hearts, the physical does not matter. 😮

A few days after being welcomed by people, the people cried out for Him to be crucified. 💔

Are we establishing the Kingdom of God and His glory wherever we go every day? 🥾

We don’t need a political fix. We need a spiritual fix. 🔧

Religion and politics crucified Jesus. ✝️

Jesus didn’t come to redeem politics. He came to redeem the law. 📜

Do you have spiritual habits that make you excited to see God transform your life? Do you establish the Kingdom of God in your home? 🏰

Palm Sunday is a call to be disciples - to be students of the Gospel. 📖

We have taken the power of study out of our culture. We need to use technology as a tool to help us, not as a distraction. 🛠️

We are called to embrace Jesus’ mission: a mission of love. ❤️

Jesus is the Word (John 1:1). 📖

Jesus cried out for forgiveness for the people crucifying Him because the didn’t know what they were doing. We are in a world filled with people who don’t know what they’re doing and need our forgiveness. ❤️

When He was here, Jesus wasn’t focused on politics. 🚫

Jesus said we would be hated because of Him. 😠

Everything is about the Kingdom. 🏰

Jesus will bring justice the next time He comes. 👏

We need to pick up our crosses and follow Him more faithfully. ✝️

Palm Sunday leads us into a Holy Week - a time to reflect on Jesus’ journey when He entered Jerusalem, was crucified, and rose again. 💭

Every hero of the Bible went through a lot of hurt and suffering. Being a Christian doesn’t negate the fact that we live in a broken world that hates Jesus. Our mission is to stand firm in faith even when our circumstances are difficult. 🙏

Jesus asked for the cup to pass if possible, but He understood the mission and asked that His Father’s will would be done instead of His own. Jesus didn’t want to go to the cross, but He went anyway. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man, and He showed it was okay to come to God and be honest about our feelings about His calling on our lives even though we aren’t excused. 🚫

Worship is not about music or how we raise our hands. True worship is about standing firm in your faith and establish His Kingdom everywhere you go. 🙌

Does your life look like worship or is it actually worship? ❓

You are not an accidental creation. God made you with talents and gifts that will help you fulfill a purpose and call. 👏

The devil will attack your character and the gifts God has called you to use. 🗡️

Jesus was hurt and betrayed, yet He still prayed for their forgiveness. 🙏

As Holy Week starts, read the Bible and the steps He took. 📖

Jesus said to obey the laws of the land you live in, but He came to establish a different Kingdom. We can’t fix the right or left in politics, but we can establish His Kingdom everywhere we go. You were called to be more than a bystander. 🏰

Word from After Service
Our heart needs to be in a place of pleading, “Hosanna” - “save me!” 🛟

The Jewish church was so busy in their religious preparation that they missed a visit from their Redeemer. Jesus came to save them and lead them out of slavery, and they missed Him. 💔

We have to be careful not to be so busy that we miss visits with the Spirit of the Lord who comes to save. We celebrate what He has done in the past, but not at the cost of seeking His face for what He is doing and what He wants to do now. 🙏

Set up time this week to have encounters with God. ⏰

23/03/2026

Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Meeting Him: Looking Ahead to His Second Coming 🤝

The end times began when Jesus was resurrected from the dead and ascended into Heaven. ⏳

We need to look ahead and make use of the time we have left before we stand before Jesus at the end of our life or when He comes back again. 🕰️

Jesus often calls Himself the bridegroom and the church the bride. He talks about that because He wants us to walk with Him closely through the ups and downs of life. ❤️

In the Jewish culture, the father pays a price for the bride for the groom. The groom would go away and prepare a place for him and his bride. Then the groom would return at an unknown time for the bride at a time set by the father. There would be an announcement for the bride that the groom was coming. There is a celebration feast for a week and then the bride stays in her chambers, separated from everyone. Do you see the parallels between Jesus and the church? 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️

Matthew 25:1-2
The virgins did not know when the groom was returning, so they were just waiting. ⏳

Ephesians 5:15-21
If you’re wise, you are focusing on the Kingdom of God -the important and eternal. ♾️

Don’t waste time. 🚫

Oil and anointing is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

Out of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). If you are speaking to and praising God, good things are flowing out of your heart. ❤️

The fear of God is being afraid of not being close to Him. 🥹

There is a difference between knowing about someone and knowing someone in relationship. We need to know Jesus. That’s the difference between the Pharisees and people who recognized Jesus. When He explained He would have to tell some people to depart from Him, it was because they were not in relationship with Him nor did they do the Father’s will -they just knew about Him (Matthew 7:21-23). 😮

Confessing He is the master of our life is surrender (Romans 10:9-10). We don’t just believe in Him for salvation. He wants our whole lives and wants us to carry out His plans for our lives. He wants a steady relationship with us, always tending toward Him and answering the call drawing us back to Himself. 🙌

We have to continually refocus on Him because everything in the world will distract and dull us. 🔎

We believe He has power over sin and death (Romans 10:9-10). 🙏

Matthew 25:3-6
Foolish in Greek means careless, unaware, blockhead, and without secret knowledge of God that comes from relationship with Him. 😮

Wise means intelligent, mindful of one’s interest, focused, watching, and alert. 🧠

The world always tries to distract us and make us think this is our home instead of Heaven. We have to use this time to further the Kingdom of God until we pass or He comes back and puts things in order. 🏰

There are so many distractions in this world that will get you off track, but Jesus is faithful to redirect us and put us on the right track. 🧭

He is going to return at a day and hour we don’t expect Him. 🔜

How can we prepare? We can spend time with His Spirit. We can seek Him, watch for Him, and do what He has called us to do. If we want to know what He has for us to do, we must draw near because He reveals things to those who draw close to Him. 🙏

We don’t know when Jesus is coming, so we need to live in preparation everyday. 👏

Good fathers teach their children to walk in wisdom. He disciplines those He loves and corrects us to keep us close to Him (Proverbs 3:12, Hebrews 12:6). ❤️

Matthew 25:7-12
We need to wait expectantly. ⏳

The foolish virgins missed out because they ran out of oil. They tried to get in, but the groom did not know them. 😬

God’s eyes are on those who are seeking Him, His wisdom, and His plan. They aren’t perfect, but He sees them, knows them, and teaches them (2 Chronicles 16:9). God sees what we are going through and what we need, but He is waiting for us to come to Him. ❤️

Matthew 25:13
We do not know the day or hour. 🚫

What were the lamps the virgins had? The Word of God. 📖

What keeps it bright? The oil which is representative of the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

Come to Him and receive the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, Colossians 1:9-12). When the believers prayed for the Holy Spirit, they began speaking the Word of God courageously (Acts 4:31). ❤️

Jesus read the first part of Isaiah 61:1-2 because bringing liberty to the captives was His mission that trip to earth. He will finish the second part of those verses by punishing the wicked the second time He returns (Luke 4:17-19). ❤️

Revelation 3:7-13
The analogy of the bride in the chamber for seven days could be related to God removing the church before the tribulation on the whole earth. 😮

There is a special reward for those who are anticipating and seeking to do the will of God. 🔎

There is a blessing for those who read and heed the words of Revelation (Revelation 1:3). If we are focused on following Him with all of our heart, doing what He has for us, and walking in fellowship with Him, we will be continually filled with Holy Spirit and never run out of oil. When we seek Him, He will teach and help us. 🙏

Matthew 12:20
Wherever we are at in life, Jesus promises He is the gentle shepherd who will relight things that are just smoldering and heal things that are broken. ❤️‍🩹

Matthew 6:22-23
The eye is the lamp of our body. What are you focused on? What are you looking at? If you are looking at light, you will be filled with light. If you are looking at darkness, you will be filled with darkness. 🔎

The focus of our life should be on Jesus’ words, “I am coming soon.” 🗓️

We need to be salt and light in a dying world (Matthew 5:13-16). 💡

16/03/2026

Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Tithes & Offering

2 Corinthians 4:18
When we give to the church, we are saying, “I believe what is unseen is eternal, and I want to invest in the eternal.” ❤️

Hebrews 11:6
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 🙏

Meeting Him: Encounter God Personally 🤝

It is easy as parents or ministers to try and tell people what to think instead of teaching how to think. The Pharisees tried to tell people what to think about Jesus and “protect” people from what He was sharing. 💭

In the Old Testament, people had to go to the temple to talk to a priest who would talk to God on their behalf. When Jesus arrived, He had a personal relationship with and called God His Father -which threw the pharisees off. 😵‍💫

We cannot block people from meeting God by judging people’s behaviors. 🚫

What does it mean to be saved? ❓

The “salvation prayer” or “sinner’s prayer” is not in the Bible, but it is based on Scripture and is a form that can be used to guide someone into a conversation with God. 💬

Calling on the Lord for salvation with our mouthes reflects the state of the heart (Matthew 12:34, Romans 10:9). ❤️

God the Father is relational, wants to meet us where we are at, and to meet with us personally. 🤝

Everyone who calls on Jesus’ Name will be saved (Romans 10:13). 🛟

We need to stop labeling people by their actions. ❤️

How do we repent and know what to repent of? 🙏

When we meet God, it shows us the areas of our lives that need Him to help us change. The sinner’s prayer doesn’t change us. Relationship with God changes us. 👏

Jesus reclined at a table with Matthew, a corrupt and hated tax collector, and Matthew’s life was changed. 🥹

We can be the example of God and represent Him to others. Jesus spent time with people and that changed them. ❤️

The tax collector was justified for calling on God for mercy and recognized he was a sinner (Luke 18:13-14). When we meet God, we must repent and believe the Gospel which means we need to renew ourselves with the Word (Mark 1:15, Romans 12:2). 📖

Moses wrote the law. Jesus finished the law at the cross. ✝️

When we meet God, we need to recognize and admit we are sinners and that we cannot save ourselves. Then we repent which is turning away from our sins - something we can’t do without changing how we think and being sanctified by the Word. We must believe Jesus is that Savior we need and call on Him for salvation. 🛟

His grace allows Him to walk with us through the sanctification process and our stumbles and mistakes. 🥾

The sinner’s prayer can be used to guide people into conversation of repenting and calling and believing in His Name (Mark 1:15, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:13). 🙏

Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). If you don’t have a desire to transform and change your life, it is worth questioning whether you have met God or not because He plants a desire for transformation in us when we meet Him. We receive Jesus by faith, and we work on our relationship. 🌱

Not everyone who says, “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 7:21). It’s not just saying words, it’s about our hearts. ❤️

To follow Him is to pick up our crosses daily - a process of renewing our minds, having actions and behaviors that reflect Him, and pursuing encounters with Him (Luke 9:23). 🙏

Sunday Morning Notes ☕️

Religion Kills: Looking Back to Move Ahead 🪦

We can have all the right looks that we are bearers of light, but if we aren’t plugged in, we aren’t going to shine light - just like an unplugged lamp. 🔌

Colossians 2:20-23
You can do and say all the right things, but it doesn’t have any power to change your life if you don’t plug into Holy Spirit. 🪫

Father God is in Heaven, and Jesus is sitting down at the right hand of the Father, so how do we connect with them in this season? Through Holy Spirit! He connects us, gives us discernment, and empowers us to change. 🔥

Why did all the teachers of the law, the Pharisees, and holy men miss Jesus when He came? They memorized the first five books of the Bible and knew the prophets. They had the Words, but they didn’t have the power. 🚫

We are fully known by God, but it is up to us to know Him more and more and to choose to pursue Him. It is so important to press into Him and abide in Him and His Spirit. 🙏

We are coming into a time when we can have huge influence for the Kingdom, but we have to be discerning of the times we are in and know what we should be doing and focusing on - just like the sons of Issachar (1 Chronicles 12:32). 🕰️

If we plug into Him, we have an opportunity to be light and salt to people who are looking for light, hope, and confidence. If we don’t connect with the Holy Spirit, we will miss it. 💡

What’s the difference between people who Jesus said He did not know and people He did know (Matthew 7:21-23)? They had the appearance of faith, but they were not plugged in or connected with Him. 💔

Luke 2:22-25
Mary and Joseph went to the temple where Simeon was, and he was looking for Jesus. 🔎

When Jesus came, the Pharisees were offended by Him, and they weren’t looking for Him. They thought they were already righteous and didn’t need the saving Jesus brought. 🚫

The first time Jesus came, He was here to redeem. The next time He comes, He will be coming as King. 👑

Simeon was in the right place at the right time, and he didn’t miss Jesus because Simeon was looking for Him. 🔎

If we abide in Him and are constantly looking for and living our life in expectation of when He will come, we will be ready when the King comes. That’s the challenge: we have to be ready. ✅

Simeon was righteous. He wasn’t perfect, but he was seeking the Lord. 🙏

The patriarchs were justified by faith because they knew they needed a Savior and were looking for Him (Hebrews 11). ✝️

Simeon was devout. He had a fear of the Lord. It isn’t being afraid of God, it’s afraid of being without Him. It keeps us close, not pushing us away. Jesus had a spirit of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11). ❤️

Jesus has a plan for each and every single one of us. Are you looking for it? Are you looking for Him? He gives us the decision to pursue Him. How close we get to Him depends on us. Will we be faithful to keep our eyes on Him and do what He has called us to do? 👀

The cry of the fear of the Lord is to one day hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21). 🥹

If we want wisdom in our life, we need to seek Him and be filled with Holy Spirit to get close to His heart so we accomplish what He has for us to do. ☑️

We used to have to go to the temple to be close to God. Each of us is now God’s temple because we have the Holy Spirit in us and can now walk in continued communion with Him. ❤️

Luke 2:26
Simeon had a relationship with the Lord, and He was promised that he would not die before he saw the Messiah. 😮

God will tell you things when you spend time in your presence. ⏳

Malachi was the last prophecy in Scripture. It had been 450 years since the Jews had heard from the Lord. God spoke a word to Simeon because he sought Him. 🙏

We serve God out of privilege, not obligation. We cannot lose our first love, our reason to keep serving and building His kingdom (Revelation 2:4). 🏰

Life can break us. When it does, we need to turn to Him, check our connection, and ask for His help in healing and restoring us. ❤️

It’s not about emotions and having a good or bad day. It’s about where our heart is. Our connection is above our emotions. Simeon was connected, and that’s why he received a word from the Lord. 📜

Luke 2:27
Simeon went to the right place at the right time because Holy Spirit directed Him. Holy Spirit can direct us, but if we aren’t obedient, we will miss Jesus still. 😬

We want God’s direction and fruit in what we do. We can do lots of good things, but if we try to do all the good things, we may burn out. We have to do the things God directs us to do. 🧭

Are you going to settle for good, or are you going to pursue God? 🙏

If you are unmarried, seek God. Besides salvation, choosing your spouse is the most important decision you will make. 💍

God compares marriage to His relationship with ours. 😮

Seek God, and when you hear Him, respond with obedience. Don’t miss Jesus or His plan for you by disobeying. 👏

Luke 2:28-35
Because God fulfilled the word He gave Simeon, Simeon knew he could die in peace. 🙏
