Hi everyone! 👋

For those who are new here, we’d like to introduce ourselves.

We are OKANE Kitchen & Sushi Bar, and we are a small, family-run business here in Port Kennedy. ❤️

Behind OKANE is our family.

My husband, Chef Ben, is the chef behind the food, and I’m Kathy. You’ll usually find me doing a little bit of everything — helping at the restaurant, serving customers, making coffee, baking, doing our social media… whatever needs to be done! 😅

And just like many small businesses, our family also helps whenever we can.

We opened OKANE because we wanted to build something of our own, serve good food to our community, and hopefully create opportunities for other people too.

One of our biggest goals is actually to create more jobs.

We would love to hire more people, give more young people their first work experience, and give more locals an opportunity to earn and grow with us.

We’re just not at the stage where we can hire as many people as we would like to — yet.

That’s why every little bit of support means so much to a small family business like ours.

Every time you dine with us, order takeaway, recommend us to a friend, share our post, or simply tell someone about OKANE, you’re helping our little business grow.

And when we grow, hopefully our team can grow too. ❤️
