🎨✨ Holiday Time: How to Make Latte Art at Home

☕ ‘Tis the season to get creative - with coffee.

The holidays are the perfect time to slow down, relax and finally master that latte art swirl you’ve been eyeing all year. Whether you’re pouring hearts, rosettas, or just aiming for something that looks like less of a blob, here’s how to get started:

🖌 How to Make Latte Art (Even if You’re a Beginner)

✅ Start with the right base:
Pull a fresh shot of espresso into your favourite cup - aim for a rich crema (that golden brown surface is your canvas).

✅ Steam your milk like a pro:
Use cold, fresh milk and stretch it to create microfoam - you’re looking for a glossy, silky texture, not big bubbles. Think "wet paint" consistency.

✅ Swirl and tap:
Give your milk jug a gentle swirl and tap to remove any stray bubbles. This gives you control and flow.

✅ Pour with purpose:
Begin by pouring slowly from a little height (to sink the milk below the crema), then bring the jug closer and let the art rise. Wiggle for a heart. Wiggle and pull through for a rosetta. Practice. Play. Repeat.
