Jam Jar Café is looking for a friendly, confident and energetic Cashier / Host to join our team on a casual basis.

This role is about so much more than standing behind a register. You’re one of the first faces our customers see — and one of the biggest influences on the experience they have.

🌸 What you’ll be doing

☕ Welcoming customers with a genuine smile
🧾 Taking orders accurately and confidently
💳 Processing payments and handling the POS
💗 Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
✨ Suggesting extras and specials when appropriate
🧹 Keeping the front counter and customer areas clean and organised
🤝 Working closely with the kitchen and café team
⚡ Keeping things moving when we’re busy

Someone who:

Love cooking, baking and being part of a great team? We’d love to meet you!

Jam Jar Café is looking for a reliable, capable and positive Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment but also loves the satisfaction of producing good food, consistently and to a high standard.

🍳 What you’ll be doing

• Short-order cooking during service
• Preparing our café-style menu
• Baking cakes, cookies and other house-made goodies
• Following recipes and established procedures
• Keeping food quality and presentation consistent
• Working cleanly and efficiently
• Helping keep the kitchen organised and running smoothly

💗 What we’re looking for

You don’t need to be a fancy chef — we’re looking for someone who can cook, follow a recipe and take pride in what they produce.

We’re looking for someone who is:

✨ Reliable and punctual
✨ Organised and clean
✨ Comfortable working independently
✨ Able to stay calm when we’re busy
✨ Confident following recipes and instructions
✨ Proud of the food they produce
✨ A positive team player with a good attitude

Commercial kitchen experience is preferred, but the right person with the right attitude is more important to us.
