Still buzzing after an amazing weekend up on Castle Hill at the Wounded Heroes 24‑Hour Challenge — the spirit up there was unreal.

We’re taking Mon–Wed to reset the trailer and get everything polished for NAFA, because…

From 24 September to 11 October, we’ll be serving at NAFA’s Festival Hub at Strand Park. Three big weeks of food, fun, and North Queensland Flavours.

We’ll miss our Castle Hill mornings, but we’re proud to be part of this year’s festival.

See you at the Hub from 24/9 - 11/10 or back up on the Hill from 15 October.

We had a great time at Western Truck Group supporting Peter's Breaking Point Challenge, raising funds for The Cure Starts Now Australia — thank you to everyone who got involved. If you'd like to support the cause, you can do so here: https://www.givenow.com.au/cr/peterbreakingpointchallenge

We sold out of quite a few items, and as much as we’d love to head back up the hill this afternoon, it just doesn’t make sense without a full restock.

We’ll use this time to prep properly for tomorrow’s big 12‑hour day (7am–7pm) and also the huge 24‑hour Challenge up the Hill this Saturday/Sunday (8am–8am).

Thanks for understanding — can’t wait to feed you all again tomorrow, including your favourite Grilled Barra & Chips 💚

Tomorrow we’ll be set up at WTG Townsville while their crew takes on this amazing fundraising effort for The Cure Starts Now Australia. They’re shaving their heads to raise money for childhood brain cancer research — huge effort from a great team.

If you’re around between 10am–1pm, why not take up WTG's invitation to come along, grab your favourite NQ4U meal, and cheer them on. It’s a fantastic cause and we’re proud to be part of the day.

Then later on, we’ll be heading back up the Hill and trading from 4pm–7pm — see you there for dinner.

We’ve got a big and meaningful week coming up — a mix of regular trading, a private fundraising event, and the Wounded Heroes 24‑Hour Challenge across the weekend.

Here’s where you’ll find us:
• Mon 14 Sep — Closed (TCC works at the lookout)
• Tue 15 & Wed 16 Sep — Castle Hill 7am–3pm
• Thu 17 Sep AM — Private Fundraising Event until 2pm, after which we'll head back up the Hill for trading from 4pm until 7pm
• Fri 18 Sep — Castle Hill 7am–7pm
• Sat 19 & Sun 20 Sep — Wounded Heroes 24‑Hour Challenge

We’re Hiring! Join the NQ4U Family.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable team member to help us grow our North Queensland food trailer business.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in commercial kitchens and front of house operations — including customer service, cash handling, and keeping things running smoothly during busy service periods. Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about showcasing everything that makes North Queensland special.
We’d love to find someone who:
• Has commercial cooking and hospitality experience
• Provides exceptional customer service
• Can manage cash and POS systems confidently
• Stays positive, productive, and calm during both busy and quiet periods
• Is flexible with working hours (including early starts or occasional late finishes)
• Enjoys travelling to events, including occasional multi day trips
• Holds a current driver’s licence
• Has towing experience (highly regarded but not essential)
At the moment, we can’t offer full time hours, but we’re growing quickly and have exciting plans for 2027. We’re looking for someone who wants to develop with us and, in time, take on more responsibility — including working independently when required.
