During these difficult time many of my colleagues in the hospitality industry have been forced to close and now considering the prospect of reopening. Some may not reopen, many will change the way they provide service to customers.
We will be adjusting to the new norm when we return. we will have an additional member on staff to allow us to move the service along quicker, we will serve behind plexiglass screens all you can eat toppings for you.
When you return to your favourite eatery or drinking hole, have a thought for the changes and what they will mean to the businesses, social distancing means less tables, less served, less income, the only way to beat this is to increase costs or lower the expectations of customers. Some will choose to lower expectations, with smaller quantities, or even less comfortable seating( to make sticking around less comfortable) others will increase prices to provide the same level of service as before but because of new conditions might need to employ more staff or have less serves.
This is going to be an adjustment for everyone. Please continue to support our hospitality industry these changes might be a shock to begin with but over a little time we can adjust and enjoy the wide arrange of hospitality establishments that has become an important part of Aussie life.
