We stopped in at White Picket Fence Café with family for a coffee before heading off for a walk along the Caloundra esplanade 🤍

We chose it because it’s dog-friendly for our two girls, Betty and Paul and it has that relaxed, beachy, casual atmosphere that just feels right by the coast.

Even though it was busy (always a good sign), it didn’t feel overwhelming at all. We sat out the back, which was lovely and comfortable, but there’s also plenty of seating inside and out the front under the umbrellas.

The cappuccino was spot on, and the iced latte with banana bread was just as delicious—simple, done really well. And the muscle shake? Let’s just say it worked instantly… we could practically feel his muscles growing.

Such an easy, welcoming place to start your morning before a stroll along the water 🤍

If you’re craving a little slice of Italy on the Sunshine Coast, Cafe Sisily is the place to go.

Tucked away in Golden Beach, this family-owned gem brings authentic Italian flavour straight to your morning ritual from rich, velvety coffee to handcrafted pastries that feel like they’ve come straight from a Sicilian pasticceria.

The cannoli are amazing! Crisp shells filled with creamy, indulgent fillings that locals line up for and once you’ve had one, you’ll understand why.

What truly made our visit special was the service. Our waitress, Carolin, was incredibly friendly, knew the customers, and created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s that kind of genuine connection that turns a simple coffee stop into a memorable experience.

If you have a puppy like us, you can enjoy a table outside. The perfect spot to relax while still being part of the café’s welcoming atmosphere.

There’s a beautiful sense of community here in the familiar faces, the relaxed vibe, and the feeling that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

A slow, sunny start to the morning at Quarterdeck Mooloolaba.

We grabbed a table out front with our puppy Paul, soaking up the warmth on a cool coastal morning and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a little people watching too.

The coffees arrived perfectly hot, paired with fresh, delicious banana bread that didn’t last long at all. The savoury mince was absolute perfection, rich and comforting, and the corn fritters were a huge hit proper home-style goodness. And if you’re leaning into holiday mode, the pancakes with ice cream are a must.

What stands out here is the easy, relaxed experience, full menu, table service, polite staff, and prices that feel fair. And if you’ve got a furry companion, they’re more than welcome too.

With the Mooloolaba beachfront redevelopment underway, this spot is set to become even more special… imagine sitting here with uninterrupted ocean views just steps away.

Simple, welcoming, and one to return to.

If you’re chasing a café with a view, this is it.

We recently visited Chill Cafe 89 and quickly realised booking ahead is an absolute must if you want those front-row seats overlooking the spectacular scenery.

What made the experience even more special for us. We brought along our new puppy and were so impressed by how welcoming and accommodating the café was for dog owners.

Great coffee, a beautiful setting, and a genuinely relaxed, pet-friendly vibe… the kind of place you linger a little longer than planned.

Perfect for a slow morning or a peaceful catch-up with someone special.

Today my we visited Nurcha Cafe in the Kawana Homemaker Centre, and it was such an easy, enjoyable way to spend the morning.

Everything here is 100% plant-based, with a really wide selection to choose from and you’re not limited at all. Whether you feel like sitting outside under an umbrella or tucked into a cosy booth inside, there’s plenty of space to settle in comfortably.

The meals were generous and full of flavour. After eating, we couldn’t help but wander through their beautiful homewares and take-home food section. We enjoyed that it feels like the experience doesn’t end at the table.

A relaxed, thoughtful spot that just works for a slow morning.

Rainy Sundays call for somewhere that feels like an escape, and this little gem delivers. The Beach Bar at Cotton Tree is a short stroll from the Cotton Tree Caravan Park, this riverside café is the kind of place you settle into and don’t want to leave. Perfect to catch up with family.

Big open windows let you soak in the calming river views while staying warm and dry so we can feel like being outside, without the rain.

The breakfast was comforting, hearty breakfast sizes that just make sense on a slow, wet morning.

Grab a window seat for a little people-watching, or tuck yourself into a cosy corner if you’re chasing something more intimate, such as a first date.

Sometimes the rain doesn’t ruin the day, it just leads you somewhere better.

If you’re looking for a café that feels like a little escape in the middle of Maroochydore, Flinders Lane near Sunshine Cove is such a lovely find.

With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the kind of place where you can settle in however you like, grab a table inside for a cosy catch-up or sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. One of the nice touches is how the café opens out onto a small garden, creating a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer over your coffee.

The meals are generous, good-sized servings, and if you like a bit of spice, they make their own homemade chilli oil which they also sell and it adds the perfect kick to the dishes.

Ordering is super easy through their app, where you can customise your coffee just the way you like it. You can even try one of their Cloud Coffees which is a smooth coffee foam poured over ice for something a little different.

It’s the perfect spot for a morning coffee, a slow brunch with friends, or a quiet moment to yourself. Sometimes it’s these little hidden corners that become your new favourite local.
