Meet the Team: Yully Gross
Staff interrogation series continues.....
This time, we are exposing Yully Gross, our Bicton Venue Manager.
When she is not dropping impromptu rap verses in the stockroom, she is aggressively attempting to enforce "chill sessions" during peak service.
Here is what makes our manager tick.....
* **Favorite Food:**
BBQ, good people, and a cheeky campfire. We had to gently remind her that starting a campfire in the middle of the Fat Boyz dining room violates several health and safety codes. She has reluctantly agreed to stick to the kitchen grills.
* **Favorite Music:**
Everything from rap and soul to Tool and Fleetwood Mac, with her top track being "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. If you let Yully control the venue playlist, you will get severe musical whiplash. You might transition directly from 90s gangster rap into an aggressive math metal track, followed immediately by your dad's Sunday afternoon playlist.
* **Favorite Movie:**
Annihilation. She loves a psychological thriller that makes her brain tick. It is also entirely coincidental that managing a busy restaurant on a Saturday night feels exactly like wandering into a chaotic, mutated alien zone where time has lost all meaning.
* **Favorite TV Show:**
Anime and old-school comedies. Watching animated characters scream at each other for twenty minutes straight is excellent preparation for managing the front-of-house staff.
* **Favorite Footy Team:**
Fremantle Dockers. She has already boldly declared them the 2026 Premiership winners. We admire her venue management skills, but we severely question her grasp on reality. That is two Dockers fans in leadership now. We are monitoring the situation closely.
* **Best Friend:**
Her pet snake, who apparently knows all her secrets, and her human bestie, Em. Em is officially taking second place to a reptile. We are just hoping the snake does not have the alarm codes for the venue.
Next time you are at Fat Boyz Bicton, say hi to Yully.
Just do not let her near the aux cord, and definitely do not ask her to rap.....
