🐾 Calling all local accommodation providers! 🐾

We’re starting to receive lots of enquiries from people travelling to Mount Beauty Oktoberfest & the Dachshund Derby who are looking for dog-friendly accommodation for the weekend.

We’ve already identified nineteen bookings already from Derby attendees, with many visitors staying at both local caravan parks and several dog-friendly B&Bs. It’s fantastic to see so many people making a weekend of it, but accommodation is starting to fill quickly!

If you own or know of a:
🏡 Dog-friendly B&B
🏠 Holiday house
🛏️ Motel or hotel
🚐 Caravan or camping site
🐶 Or any other pet-friendly accommodation

…please pop your details in the comments or send us a message (that is unless you are booked out already for the first October weekend). We’d love to help connect our visitors with local places to stay and keep as many bookings as possible here in our wonderful community.

🎉 Our Oktoberfest Corporate Boxes are officially SOLD OUT! 🎉

Don’t worry—there will still be plenty of walk-in seating available on the day. Or, if you are worried, bring a picnic blanket or picnic chairs, find a spot and enjoy all the Oktoberfest action! 🍻🐾 This year with extra space available!

You can also book a reserved seat for the Dachshund Derby races, with 100% of the booking fees going directly to Dachshund Rescue Australia.

🐾 WE’VE MADE SOME BIG CHANGES TO THE DACHSHUND DERBY! 🏁

Last year, we were absolutely overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by how many people came along to support the Dachshund Derby.

With such a huge crowd, we knew we needed to make a few improvements so the races are safer, smoother and easier for everyone to enjoy.

This year, you can expect:

🏁 A longer, improved and secured racetrack
🪑 Reserved seating alongside the track
👀 Standing areas behind the reserved seating so more people can still get a great view
🐶 Dedicated Owners’ Corner boxes with excellent visibility of the racing
🎟️ Better race organisation and crowd flow throughout the day

We are so grateful for the amazing support this event received last year, and we cannot wait to bring you an even bigger and better Dachshund Derby this Oktoberfest!

Don’t forget to book your dachshund into the races! Entries on the day will be strictly limited (if available), as we only have 10 heats of 8 dogs.

With so many eager little sausages expected, we recommend securing your spot early to avoid disappointment! 🌭🏁
