We had a very special little visitor today… one of Mandy’s youngest (and definitely cutest!) fans! 🥰

This beautiful family always makes a point of stopping by Mandy’s whenever they’re visiting Grenfell, and today our littlest customer decided to get stuck right into the cake! 😂🎂

And judging by those photos, I think we have another very happy customer on our hands! 🤣💛

It’s little moments like these that make all the long hours, early mornings and hard work so worthwhile.

We absolutely LOVE watching families make memories in our little shop. ❤️

Firstly, thank you so much for all your prayers, messages and well wishes for Dad. He’s in good spirits, and they’re currently working on a treatment plan going forward. We truly appreciate everyone who has been thinking of him and our family. ❤️

🚨 IMPORTANT WEDNESDAY ANNOUNCEMENT… 🚨

❌ THERE WILL BE NO SUSHI TODAY! ❌

Unfortunately, we got home waaaay too late yesterday to get everything prepped safely and properly, so sushi is taking the day off this week. 🍣

BUT… you absolutely loved our Ham & Cheese Croissants yesterday, so Mandy has made another batch! 🥐🧀

And by “made”… Mandy means she filled and baked them. 😂
She absolutely DID NOT hand-make the croissants. Even Mandy has limits!

They are, however, officially Pete Approved™ — and apparently that’s the quality-control standard around here now. 😂

We are back for another week, and all your favourites are ready and waiting! Alongside Grenfell's favourite sausage rolls, today we also have Grab N Go ham and cheese croissants for just $5, but stock is limited, so get them while they last!

A little family update ❤️

Mandy & Pete are heading to Orange tomorrow to spend some time with Dad, who has now been in Orange Hospital for a little over a week.

Our wonderful Kayleen will be holding down the fort for us, so the shop will still be OPEN from 9am–3pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

We’ll have plenty of sausage rolls, along with our usual goodies, but there will be NO pretzels tomorrow.

Please also note that we will be closing at 3pm, a little earlier than usual.

Thank you so much for your understanding and for allowing us the flexibility to be there for family when we need to be. ❤️

We all know Mandy has a passion for baking and cooking… but did you know I also LOVE growing my own food? 🌱🍅🥬

In past years, I’ve actually been pretty much completely self-sufficient with fruit and veggies throughout summer!

This year looks a little different. Between the shop taking up most of my waking hours 😂 and two fur babies who apparently believe garden beds are their personal playground, the veggie garden at home wasn’t looking very promising.

Soooo… the grow bags have started migrating to the shop! 😂 now this is nowhere near the 10 tomato, 8 zucchini, 10 cucumber, 6 varieties of capsicum, melons and pumpkins, berries etc…that I normally do, but something is better than nothing.

There’s plenty of unused space out the back, so I figured — why not put it to good use? This is only the beginning and I’ve got LOTS more work (and planting!) to do, but we have officially started our little Mandy’s Cakes & Cupcakes kitchen garden. 🌿

And there’s another bonus… since having my bariatric surgery, I eat nowhere near the amount I used to. So if this garden produces like my gardens normally do, you know what that means…

BIGGER COMMUNITY FRUIT & VEG GIVEAWAYS! 🥰🥕🥒🍅

Because if we can grow more than we need, there’s absolutely no reason it should go to waste. ❤️

Stay humble, stay grateful, stay grounded… and apparently, grow things too. 😂🌱
