Winter Festivals & Events in the NT
This is a time we thrive and things pick right up til the end of the year. This year is no exception.

Working along side great event planner like Yasmine & Jo makes events like this flow well and when we get the unexpected happen like 150 extra people you learn to pivot and roll; it’s a very Territorian thing(we’ve learned after so many years and it just is what it is😆)

We’ve had a pretty rough first 6 months of the year just like many small businesses but we are keeping our Gratitude in check, goals in mind and keeping things rolling.

In a past life when I was working in social services I was lucky to work with a Fella who was basically driving on no tyre tread just Rims. When he was asked about how he was going to keep driving he replied with a big smile “It’s all good sister, I’ve still got rims” and that’s exactly how it’s felt as of late. 😂

Our team are some of the hardest working crew you’ll ever meet holding down multiple bookings, unexpected changes with little notice, creating beautiful meals for our families and individuals on NDIS and those who get hardship support from us.

It is a hard time to be in food and combined with being in a remote area is just as tough however; we still got Rims, are able to laugh & enjoy pockets of joy in these creative events we get to be part of.

Thank you to the committee for choosing to invest your budget in our service it’s always a privilege to be invited to cater for large scaled events as it allows us to push our limits, be creative & have more fun. all catering over $1000 we commit 10% of profits towards our hardship meals and we are proud to know this has allowed us to give over 8000 meals. It’s all about our people.

When we are quiet that usually means we’ve got alot going on however we are still accepting bookings for 2026.

Just a big Big Shout out to our team who are continually pulling miracles on short turn around & making sure quality, care, ex*****on & service is always top tier.

Especially our Chef Zoe Christie & Manager Lainey.

Everyone of our team play such a big part in making sure we can not only do good food but also help support our community.

We have a small but mighty team servicing a large quantity of people that all have different needs an expectations & really stretches them beyond what you could ever imagine at times.

Big learnings especially this year as we move into setting more boundaries that ensure we are respected as people first & Never treated less than.

It’s been a very different first half of 2026 a lot of pivots, a lot of challenges as we are blessed to be part of many peoples lives especially in times of need and it year after year highlights to us that there is a huge need for a space that can truly help support people with essential needs especially around food
& being able to not just have “access” in emergencies but really nurtured through learning and providing a non clinical space for serious conversations around poverty, hardship & basic skills and knowledge around looking after ones self and family through good food.

A lot of people have missed us putting on spreads and lunch specials etc. truly we Miss it too. However; we’ve faced a lot of hardship and bureaucracy’s that have impacted our ability to be us and keep leading in the direction we’ve always maintained as a vision to truly help support healing and supporting thriving individuals and families who call Alice Springs / Mparntwe home and the ability to have our locals be serving and creating beautiful meals and events with the support of our team.

Being uncomfortable to really standup for ourselves as a small family business that has a huge community impact is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But it is necessary for this purpose we know will be fulfilled through us.

So yes, things are not as we usually would and have loved to have it day to day but stick with us & you will see how much more we can do when we are valued and respected in what we actually do for many.

Thank you to everyone that continues to support our vision as it goes back into the community and helps many families and individuals. Thank you to the businesses & organisations that book with us, refer us & encourage us to keep going it truly means so much to us. Thank you to our suppliers who are
Always supportive and work collaboratively with us.

Treat me Good is not a name it’s an action and reminder to ourselves, reminder to others and requires us all to continually check in with ourselves to make sure we treat others good and in turn we get treated good too.

As always bookings can be made via our catering link / Message us.

Hardship meal support - just message us or come down and see our team no questions asked.

Ready for a better 2nd half of 2026 & growing to better supported spaces and holding boundaries for the betterment of our community.

Hi guys!

It’s been a hot minute.

We are still here, still grinding & still providing the goods out at the Precinct.

A lot of moving parts happening for us and we are getting closer to our purpose and being able to share a bit more about our plans moving into the end of the year and 2027.

Crazy how this year has started with a lot of hardship with weather, food crisis, community tragedy’s and it’s already mid year.

We hope everyone is taking care of yourselves.

Come in and visit us. We do run more as a Canteen these days due to the nature of our space but we are providing a beautiful space and home nourishing meals.

Bookings are always open and we can send you our updated availability.

I’ll share more content this week and a new Poddy launching very soon!

We also Acknowledge and send our love to those Women who are in the waiting of becoming mama’s / grieving this day. May your hearts be held today.

Grateful to everyone who fills the important role of guardianship over children and stepping into Mama / single parenting roles to raise our beautiful children.
